Title: SB401 - 2025's 50 cal ban language is so wide it hits shotguns?
Post by: Begle1 on January 20, 2025, 08:32:59 AM
Text: https://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/sessions/session2025/bills/SB401_.htm

The manufacture, possession, sale, barter, trade, gift, transfer, or acquisition of any of the following is prohibited: any firearm or rifle with the capacity to fire ammunition of fifty caliber or higher

This language would ban shotguns 28 gauge (.545") and above, correct?

It'd be DOA if that were the case.

You're correct.

It wouldn't be DOA, they would amend it like how they did last year. Bascially, Comrade Karl is lazy and just changed the dates on the bills he submitted previously.

well, if Tovarish Komrad Karl is that lazy, then perhaps we could just look at the testimony submitted last year for this bill, cherry-pick the choice ones, plagiarize like hell, cut and paste, and resubmit that as new testimony.  no need to re-invent the communist wheel for lazy party politburo hacks.

I save my testimonies on a word doc and amend as needed
