Post by: changemyoil66 on March 17, 2025, 10:37:06 AM
This is about "ghost guns".  Apparently our prosecution cannot prosecute someone yet and needs this law.

When it goes to Greens desk.  There is no effective date on the bill, so it's when he signs it.

But at the same time, every gun in Hawaii will become illegal because federally licensed manufacturers do not register their serial numbers.

" ""Ghost gun" means a firearm, including a firearm frame or firearm receiver, that has not been imprinted with a serial number registered with a federally licensed manufacturer.  "Ghost gun" does not include a firearm that has been rendered permanently inoperable.""

So what does that mean for all of our firearms?

What about specifically for firearms that were legally serialized to comply with the previous laws and registered with HPD
