Looks like the bill was modified after all public sessions to include a ban on all semi auto rifles and magazines. This was purposefully deceptive to the public to do it after all public sessions. They went full Colorado ban on us!
Call and urge the democrat speaker and vice speaker now tell them it was deceptive and urge them not to bring it to the floor for a vote.
Democrat speaker Nadine can shelf this: (808) 586-6100
Vice speaker Linda could also shelf this deceptive ban:(808) 586-6220
Otherwise you might be a criminal if this passes.

I wonder if they're going all-in because after this year, the USAID funding dries up. i.e. it's all-or-nothing this year.
gut-and-replace is nothing new for Hawaii legislators. same-old, same-old, nothing to see here, move along.
slimy con-artists.

They went full California and Colorado ban here and it’s already passed public hearing this is serious if they bring it to vote with the democrat majority it will pass and nobody will be made aware until it’s too late.

This is the crazy semi-auto ban, right?
Has State Congress approved it, and is it now headed to Governor's for approval/signing into law (or veto, which we know he will probably not do)? I checked the link that was provided to the SB401 status, and it did not seem to yet get approved by congress.
Isn't the 2025 legislative session closed, making this bill dead until next year?
Really, I'm just trying to check if I need to buy my semi-auto rifle soon, before Governor Green may sign this bill into law.
