As the title says, the National Rifle Association is once again having a $300 Life Membership sale. Regular price is $1000 and currently on sale for $600 unless you can get another Life Member (or higher) to sponsor you.
There's a lot of new members on this forum since the reelection and firearmageddon, and this post is for you guys as well as anyone who was a little late for the last sale and your little ones.. Instead of buying 5 PMAGS for $300, you can receive a lifetime of NRA's American Rifleman, American Hunter, America's First Freedom, or InSights for the new budding shooter in the family.
There are many Life Members and higher on this forum, and I know most will sound off in this thread. You can PM me for my details or any other sponsor that's comfortable giving you their details.

I'm gonna add:
Please PM me your name and e-mail too so I can forward the confirmation email to you or contact the NRA should a confirmation e-mail not appear in my inbox.

how long is that sale going for?

I'm not too sure. Last year, I signed up a friend on my dime around February or March. I don't remember when they took down the nra-2012.org link.
-
Looks like it was taken down around August last year

just paid mine off. They did ask for a family member or friend for $300 Life membership. I asked around to no avail

I almost paid $1000 for my life membership in 2011...Lucky for me I called and the operator offered me $600 for life after I asked to enroll in Easy Pay Life with a $500 down payment.

Hey PR thanks for the deals. Aloha
-
thank you for the deal. does it take a while for it to show up? at the end, there was a page that thanked YOU for your commitment.
i didn't see anywhere that i could access my new account or anything. i tried logging into my old account and it doesn't reflect any change.
just wondering how can i tell it went through? thanks.

I sent them an email yesterday. I'll try to remember to call tomorrow.
-
Thanks for the offer. I took you up on it last night. It's about time I did this even though I was paid up until 2015.
-
Missed this last time. PM sent. Thanks in advance.
Which magazine does everyone prefer?
-
So now that I'm a life member how do I extend discounted memberships?

I prefer American Rifleman.

I was on hold on the NRA's membership department for half an hour before they finally picked up...
I asked how long it takes to get the membership processed and they said 24-48 hours. Apparently having a name wasn't enough and they wanted a zip code too, which I didn't have. If you haven't received anything yet, I can call them again with your zip code when I have time or you can try at: 1-800-NRA-3888 (1-800-672-3888).
ETA: Did it ask you guys for your email?

Hello. Not sure if this is still valid, but would anyone be nice enough to help me with membership? I know I don't post much, but I'm just a normal guy that just got into the sport.

Does this deal only work for new memberships? I just signed up for the life with quarterly $25 billing last month. I'd rather save $700 and be a life member now rather than waiting 10 years...
Wish I had seen this earlier. Hope I can still get in on the deal now. In some ways I bet the NRA might want 300 now instead of an extra 700 over 10 years anyway.

On the site it says it's meant for new members. Many have PM'd me about it and I can't remember everyone who did, but I do know a couple were members till 2015 or so, but it worked for them.

I was having an issue trying to determine if my membership was updated to Life from year to year. I finally figured out how to verify my membership was updated to Life Member. First you have to have an online account with the NRA at their website.
To verify your membership status, go here:
https://www.nramemberservices.org/Home.aspx (https://www.nramemberservices.org/Home.aspx)
and log in to your account. If you don't have an account or don't remember if you ever signed up for an account then click the link that says "Sign Up Now". You will then be given the chance to sign up for an online account. Once you create your account just log in with your user name and password and the first thing you will see is your membership status which should say "Life".
If you believe you have already signed up for an account and don't remember your username and password then click the link that says "Login Help?" and follow the instructions.
I hope this helps everyone who has signed up and did not have an online account with the NRA. :shaka:
