Post by: Super SCAR on January 08, 2013, 12:16:55 PM
I see I just missed the December bulk sale.  Will OGC be doing a bulk sale for .223 or 5.56 anytime soon?  Thanks!

Its arriving Jan 25th and we will be taking pre-orders via our website once we know the final price in a few days.

The limit is how much you choose to purchase from our website once we announce and post it.  I think this batch is only 50k rounds.

Hoooollllyyy....I won't take it. Sorry.

I totally understand, I'm paying over .50 per plus shipping right now for 5.56 and having to cut deals just to get it.

If we manage to get a load at a lower price I'll post it right away!

Would you say that 308 is easier to come by than 223/5.56?

We just happened to get two pallets delivered before the craziness, there's no 308 avail from our distributors right now.

Yikes!  Double-whammy of being out of the ammo market for a few years and just moving from the mainland has me  ??? at the .70/round cost, but went ahead and bought a case.  Guess I'll start getting back into reloading, too.

blame the panic.  I bought a case of PMC from KGS for 390 in november and OGC was selling cases of 556 just after that for 360 or something.

I just hope the market will be able to recover and prices will eventually go back down to pre panic levels.

it'll probably take a few months, i'd imagine.

i wonder if OGC can tell us how long it took to recover say, after the last obama election?

It took about three months.  Many of the distributors have not raised the price at all.  However, they don't have any ammo at all.  The ones with inventory are really making it dear, or allocating it so small that the amount we can get is meaningless, a few k rounds...
