Title: CCW: same gun, diff calibers?
Post by: AmbuBadger on September 12, 2025, 01:36:06 PM
Aloha all, I tried to search but could not find an answer. I have a SIG P250, and slides in 9mm, .40, and .45. I know lots of guys who run .40 slides on their 9mm Glocks, so I figured someone might know. My questions are:

1- If I have "9mm" on the license but HPD catches me with .40 or .45 equipped, would it be an issue despite the SN being the same?

2- Is it possible to qualify with all three slides and therefore have all three calibers listed on the license?

Not exactly sure but I would think that you would perform the proficiency in each caliber and the license would be issued with the same serial # for each caliber separately.
I'd check with your local PD.
