I'm experiencing some regret about not getting my CC license yet even though the current regulations are awful and discriminate against poor people.
Speaking of which I just heard we have about 10 days to prepare until the food stamp program runs out of money.
The health insurance industry told the Democrats that there would be no more campaign funding if they didn't shut down the government in order to deliver billions in Obamacare subsidies.
Now the anarchy card is all they have left, and we are facing the grim prospect of food riots and a violent crime wave driven by desperation.

I've been hearing a lot about subsidies. I've never ever received any. WHen the ACA began, I was in my 20's, thus a healty male who has the lowest chance of using medical. Yet I wasn't given any, IIRC I was making like $40K a year.

The majority of subsidies work in the background and aren't tied directly to the patients, but rather on the institutional level.
The problem is you have hospitals who are now owned by insurance companies that charge thousands of dollars for a 30 cent piece of plastic in order to artificially inflate costs.
Then they go to the government and are like "SEEE! We must raise our prices in order to survive! Hand over trillions of dollars or we will pass it all directly on to consumers."
It's an extortion racket that has been bankrupting and murdering people for years, but they have never taken it this far before.
Keep in mind that the Arab Spring was basically a series of food riots that toppled governments and you will have a better idea of what to expect if this is allowed to continue.

By all means please get your CCC (Honolulu’s little card says “Civilian Concealed Carry) - don’t think of it as putting up with their shit in order to get what you are already entitled to - think of it as shoving THEIR shit back up their ass with a rusty rebar.
Also, I’m NOT referring to the HPD guys - they have been great in my experience, I even got an “atta boy” vide from them when I picked mine up.
I’m referring to the crony Communists at the top here. Each CCC is like a dark spot on their collective prostrate scans.
As for the Dem slavery machine (they steal from us at gunpoint to buy zombie votes for themselves), well that blood is gonna flow eventually anyway isn’t it, so now is just fine by me.

I think our congress reps and 2 senators were thinking more of the illegals getting healthcare than thinking of their consitituents.
Otherwise they would have voted to keep the government open. Yet this asswoman calls it the Republican shutdown.
This illustrious congra$$woman is urging the Dept. of Agriculture to "do the right thing and FULFULL THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE."
