I have a sig p365xl and have a difficult time removing the optic plate. Afraid i might strip or break the screw. Anyone know a gunsmith on oahu willing to remove the optics plate for a fee?

Have you tried heating the screws with a hair dryer or heat gun? If the screws were installed with thread lock (LockTite), it might need to be heated to loosen the screws.
Some versions of thread locker will come loose with a little extra force, but the stronger varieties will need to be heated to let go.
I'd start by calling the manufacturer's support line or emailing them. They should know the proper procedure and whether heat is needed. If the plate was installed aftermarket, then contact whoever installed it if possible.
You might also consider getting a replacement set of screws before you start. Parts are still in short supply for a lot of things. It could take a long time to get replacements.
Good luck.

You might try heat to loosen the loctite. Maybe soldering iron on the screw, etc.
Sorry! This was already suggested.
