Title: Acquiring firearm from a friend

Can anyone help wanna pick up a pistol from a friend
Can I apply for a open permit or do I need the serial number etc????

Yes you can do an open permit or provide seller info and serial number, either way you need to register in person at HPD.

I bought a Glock 26 in a private sale with a blank permit. I was told by the HPD that I’m not supposed to use blank permits for private sales but they let me do it that time because they guy was already there with the firearm. I would apply for a permit with serial number, make, model, ect just to be safe. I also sold 2 firearms to my friend and he filled out the application with the firearm info and I didn’t even have to meet him at HPD so it makes it a lot easier.
