Title: Communist draws gun on Feds - Dies
Post by: Kalihi Uka on January 24, 2026, 11:08:55 AM
Amazingly, they try to disarm it, instead of shooting it dead where it stood.

This is a very clear view.

Love that they’re still calling armed insurgents “Legal Observers!”

You know, like the Viet Cong were Legal Observers….

Like the Korean War was a Legal Observation Action, in which the Communist Chinese came over to observe - something….

Media appears to be aggressively suppressing this video - instead showing the reverse angle after the take down, so no images of him walking with gun drawn/pointed.

Also does not show discharge during takedown.

Promoting a completely false narrative, of course.

These officers are exposed to war-like conditions with no backups to keep the insurgents at bay.

This will backfire even more spectacularly on the Communists once DHS releases their videos, etc., but how many more of their bots will die?

When one is armed, its logical and good practice not to yell at LEO or anybody really.

These "peaceful" protestors are actually looking for trouble.  They want something to happen.

This is why the leaders of that f*ckn state and the local LE are actually escalating the violence.  Instead of calling for their citizens to use restraint and sending their LE to help with crowd control and YES, actually helping Federal agents to do their job, they are encouraging this kind of behavior.

If the local LE and state leaders cooperate, they actually can make sure the "alleged" illegal behavior of the Federal agents are credibly documented.  Cooperation does not mean submission.

Notice at the end the "observer" is saying "Oh, My God, what did you do?"

Such an Oscar winning performance.  Listen carefully.

Sounds exactly like when that Goodman lady got killed.

I mean, you get paid, you gotta make it look good.

I’m wondering where in this country you can approach LE with gun drawn - as clearly shown in this video - and not be shot dead.

Still can’t believe they risked their lives trying to disarm him first - unf*^+king believable!

It does show where the restraint and morality lie.  It doesn't seem to be anywhere present in the leaders, LE agencies, and citizens of f*ckn minnesota.

Hard to see, but the officer appears to retrieve the gun from the man's strong side holster.   Before they bring the man to the ground, I see his right hand touch his right side hip area.  He gets taken down.  Then his jacket comes up and one of the agents attempts to grab the gun from the 3 to 4 oclock waistband area while another one beats him on the head.  Then the third agent draws his gun and shoots shortly after the other grabs the gun and moves away.  The initial agent shooting should've seen the gun being taken away unless there was confusion and he thought the man had a gun in his hand.

Bad shoot.

This snippet kind of fortifies what I've been thinking as to why all this crap is happening.  If the local LE had been present to control the crowd, then the shooting and resulting death could have been avoided.

This puts the retard governor and pukehead mayor in the limelight.  Their rhetoric and refusal to have the local LE control the crowds makes them complicit in the death of that stupid protestor.

Just my opinion, of course.

I think the country is broken.  It's going to take bloodshed to fix it.  Unfortunately, the "king" these f*cktards are claiming is running the country is going to have to be exactly that to get these insurrectionists back in line.

Clearly a bad shoot. One agent grabs the guys gun out of waistband and the other agent freaks out and pulls firearm. They shoot him after he is disarmed.

However if he was at home drinking coffee instead of impeding federal officers he’d still be alive. This is on the retarded media for lying about what ICE agents are actually doing. I still support ICE but this is bad.

Bad shoot.

Possibly.

But again, a crowd managed and under control by local authorities would have prevented this, the shovel attack, and Renee Goods death.

I'm convinced walz and frey are pocketing income other than their basic governor and mayor pay.  F*ckn lowlife pukes towing the line.

ICE officers are on edge.  Don't blame them, thanks to assholes like walz and frey.

Interesting take on what happened.  Makes sense to me.  ICE officers just want to go home at the end of the day in one piece.

Their attitude is this:  Bro you wanna FA (fuck around) then you're gonna FO (find out).

Rumors are circulating that the cops p320 went off on its own and everyone else opened up in response. Looks like a communication error.

Trump needs to call the insurrection act already and round up the dirty politicians who are inciting this behavior before more people die.

Thanks for this.  A couple of things:

1. In the video after the first stupid cut away, it looks like he’s pointing a gun in his right hand - cell phone is not visible (to me anyway).  Later, as the agent engages him (both hands on comrade’s raised left arm, looks like a fight over the gun and a discharge, but it’s actually pepper spray.  I believe I was totally wrong in my interpretation up to that point - the gun was not drawn.

2. Wrong as I am so far, I guess I’ll risk making the same mistake again, and suggest the agent fired because they lost control of him: You can clearly see he’s managed to get his feet under himself and is beginning to stand up.  The agent likely didn’t see he was possibly disarmed at that point, and felt compelled to fire.

All of this is sick.  These agents need protection - now.

The full force of the government must come down on these treasonous, seditious, Democrat party insurrectionists.

They need to be put down like rabid animals.

My apologies for any misinformation I’ve injected into the discussion.

Honestly you cant put the ICE at fault, would any one of you try to interfere with any sort of armed law enforement?  Also, he was resisting and once you have 5 cops in a scuffle hear "he has a gun!" it's game over.

Oh I have no sympathy for this retard. The last thing you want to do as a CCW persons is to go and agitate federal agents while conducting operations. Everything is already tense and chaotic and adding a firearm into the mix is as stupid as it gets. But the optics on this are terrible and if we don’t want to get dog walked in the midterms these type of things can’t happen. It does us no good to try and spin this like liberals do, need to take the L and move on.

Referring back to the video I shared (reply #16) at 9:00 minutes to approximately 9:45 of the video even though it is just speculation I think this scenario is the reason the guy got shot and killed.

Taking into account that it was a melee and so many things were happening at once, if you go back and watch the video of the agent that took the first shot, it is highly probable he did not know that the other agent already took away the gun and was walking away.

Like the lawyer speculated, all it takes is to hear the word "gun!" and officer training already kicks in.  You don't have to physically see the gun to act.  It is reasonably perceived that there is an immediate threat and action must be taken.

Whoever thinks that agent knew the gun was taken away and murdered the guy anyway is a f*ckn dumbass idiot.

And people are saying to Kristi Noem "This shouldn't have happened" as if the Federal agents actions were at fault.

No.  They are correct that it shouldn't have happened.  But they are wrong if they think it's the fault of the ICE agents.  The fault lie with walz and fey for their rhetoric and their failure to employ their LE to control the crowds.  And to that poor stupid fool that felt he had to act on their rhetoric, as if the whole world's problems lie on his shoulders.  Well, he FAFO.  Rest in Peace.

I agree.

As much as ICE has every reason to hate these stinging insects (estimate my contempt…), I do not believe any of them are murderers - they do not go out to shoot anyone, but if left no other choice in their view, they will fire to protect themselves / others.

Just like everyone on this forum.

Those organizing and inciting this insurgency are the murderers here.

And somehow everyone he shot was a sex offender
Kyle wasn't protesting anything, nor was he counter-protesting anyone.  He was putting himself where he could help anyone who needed it regardless of which side they were on.  He offered medical assistance to injured people.  He helped move a blazing dumpster away from buildings to protect them from damage.  And for his efforts, at least one person trying to cause damage was angry at him and decided to attack him.  That's the first person he shot.  He then ran toward where he knew law enforcement was positioned, but then others started yelling that he shot someone and they need to "get him!"

That's when he was surrounded and both skateboard guy and bicep boy were shot -- as he defended himself.  He then made it to where the police were to turn himself in.

That's much different than positioning yourself between officers/agents and a person they are confronting, essentially obstructing them from doing their jobs.

Any similarities between Alex Pretti and Kyle Rittenhouse are purely superficial and inconsequential.  This argument is a red herring meant to distract and obfuscate using someone the Right supported.  It's a very bad analogy.
Title: Re: Communist draws gun on Feds - Dies
Post by: QUIETShooter on January 25, 2026, 09:35:05 PM
It might be a bad analogy but in my opinion, both were in places they shouldn't be, regardless of their motive.

Yes, Kyle wasn't fighting LE, he was trying to be either Batman or Robin.  And Pretti should have been on the sidelines, protesting, yelling, blowing whistles and waving signs instead of doing what he was doing.

Pretti might have been left leaning, and Kyle probably leans toward the right, but to me they are the same.  Two people that weren't needed, nor wanted.

Title: Re: Communist draws gun on Feds - Dies

I look at these factors:

1) The context of the situation. ICE has been targeted by liberals constantly. WHich means, there's an extra risk of harm from them.  Let's not forget that the person they're going after may too try to harm them.
2) Before the interaction, he was in the road shouting and filming.  So he was no longer "peaceful" as he wasn't just on the sidewalk exercising his 1A right.  Being in the road changes things.
3) "Fog of War". It's easy to QB things and slow vids down after the fact. But at the time, things happen quickly.  All that's known is someone yells gun. He was resisting, and noise pollution.

Given all the above IMO, legal use of deadly force.

Had Alex not been there as his parents recommended or had he been on the sidewalk and not trying to aggitate ICE, had he listened to ICE, he would be alive.

There should be nothing illegal about legally CCWing and exercising your 1A.  But once he chose to go into the road, that began the downward spiral.

That's why I think Kash Patel is wrong.  Nothing wrong with having a concealed firearm for self-protection.

But that is exactly what the firearm is for.  Pretti should have stayed withing the boundaries of peaceful protest, yelling, whistles, waving signs, but not impeding the operations.  He could have filmed with his cellphone from the sidelines.

He would have been fine, and alive today.

But he was confrontational.

Aiee-yaaa.  Pau already.  RIP.

Kyle Rittenhouse did the patriotic thing, he went out and tried to help his community.  Nowadays we just say to call 911 to let police handle it or that's what insurance is for.  In the Revolutionary days, there was no one to call and everyone in the community was responsible to help with emergencies whether it's a fire, riot, or war.  We follow the same principles in the 2A community be able to defend and help ourselves and others, do something about it, and not rely on the government.  That's what he did.

Pretti was said to be a protest observer and it appeared to be the case from what we see at the beginning of the video.  Only thing he did was get between the agents and the woman then resist arrest.  Minor crimes likey leading to just a fine and a couple days in jail.  The allegations made by the DOJ about his CCW are absurd and a coverup.  I like what ICE is doing in deporting the illegals, but they are way too agressive and that mentality led to this shooting.

I've held rallys before and this kind of stuff scares me.  If police were to get really agressive and break up a rally with CCW attendees and a person gets shot for no reason.

Also when Rittenhouse 1st interacted with PD, he raised his hands in the air.  He wasn't even ordered to do so.  But he knew this would help.

Some lady tried picking up a flash bang and got her fingers blown off. This comes after an protestor insurrectionist bit off an ice agent's finger.

No word on the official finger score yet but judging by the video it looks like ICE could be up 3 to 1.

This is a communist insurrection, not a protest.
It's a meticulously crafted 5th generation CCP warfare campaign playing out on our streets.

I share your concerns, however because clearly there are agents in the Trump administration that would also like to use this as an excuse to roll back rights and advance digital tyranny.
Peter Thiel and his PayPal mafia associates have no ideological convictions besides the total domination of humanity.
They are attempting to set up the game board so that no matter which "side" wins we are still being herded into the same concentration camp.

Look, incidents like this are the objective of their strategy - unambiguously.

This is why local LE is ordered to stand down, in order to facilitate it happening.  These are Communists - human life means nothing to them.

No matter what rules of engagement ICE adopts, they will absolutely escalate interference and violent conflict with them to get the deaths, etc. for the MSM to run with.

The only things that matter are the most effective strategies to counter them.

Retreating from the objective of turning back their treasonous invasion of our country can never be one of them ….

Let us hope that the administration is gaming this at least as well as they did in taking down Maduro.

How is ice being too aggressive? If these were law enforcement operation from local PD how would they treat someone actively impeding investigations? And what would happen to someone who is agitating law enforcement while carrying a firearm? This is squarely on the retards in office who are actively pushing these people to behave like this. THATS the only mentality that’s wrong in this situation.

ICE is getting death threats every day and I can only imagine the mental strain these officers are dealing with during these protest.

The bearded-turd useful idiot tried to get himself greased by ICE at least one other time before this one, in which he finally succeeded:

“Alex Pretti was known to the feds and suffered a broken rib in a violent confrontation with agents a week before Border Patrol agents killed him in Minneapolis, according to a report”

They say he was a good man.  And all indications show that he was.  But his altercations with the federal agents are what did him in.

I had no idea he had previous run-ins with federal agents aside from the one that did him in.

This shows what the federal agents were up against in minneapolis.

The Dems have been stirring the pot for several months demonizing ICE and BP agents as jackboot thugs disappearing people in the night with no due process and no sign of them afterward.

These are the same Dems who always call for the MAGA supporters and leaders to "tone it down" after the Left does something violent.  That includes MN GOV Tampon Tim.

It's no wonder good people might want to get involved and try to help the "victims" that they've been painted as.

As Crowder said, if i believed the BS that's being shoveled by the Left and the media (redundant most of the time), I, too, would want to start a rebellion against the tyrannical feds.

That's a bunch of crap.

The people attacking feds are hardcore Marxists. They don't care how many kids get raped from the criminals they are defending. Everything and everyone else is just a tool of leverage to get more power, and if a sex trafficker gets them one more vote they will literally kill the cop that is trying to make the arrest.

When it comes to Communists your empathy is your greatest weakness. If you start to experience doubt about what needs to be done then turn to any page of Gulag Archiapelago and read for yourself what they are planning for us.

 :geekdanc:

My point is the pawns on the front lines of these "protests" are not usually the ones stirring the pot.  The woman who was shot and killed (Ms Good) was not an agitator as much as she was a pawn sent to protest on the request of her "wife."

Was she a Communist and a hardcore Marxist?  Does it matter?  She was a Lemming for the Left, and she followed the narrative off the proverbial cliff as good Lemmings are expected to do.

Left to make her own choices, I think she'd be on social media tonight getting another refill of anti-ICE, anti-Trump propaganda.

Empathy is part of the human psyche.  if you lack it, it's one of the indicators that you might be a psychopath.  Just saying...  You might call it a weakness, but there's no real alternative.  Do you propose acting like they do -- painting all their enemies as evil and deserving of annihilation?

If nobody has empathy, the only way the conflict ends is total destruction of everyone who thinks their way, and you have to admit that's an impossibility.  It's impossible to kill an idea as long as there are believers.

Yes, but I find this ending, in his case, somehow more satisfying  >:D

May have something to do with him intentionally bringing a firearm along on his missions to assault ICE agents carrying out their duty.

I don’t care what anyone says.  2A is defensive in nature, right up until it is forced to flip to offensive, when fired upon by agents of the state gone bad.  At that point it is called “war.”

So far, the only elements firing offensively here are these insurgents, in Utah, in Dallas, at the President, oh, and weaponizing vehicles, and I probably forgot some.

Clearly this guy, by intentionally assaulting ICE officers while armed, was looking for the opportunity/excuse to let fly.

Otherwise, why bring a gun, when literally everyone around you is on your team - except the ICE agents??????

If you step back just a bit - it is pretty clear what was really going on in this thing’s head.

It wasn't the brightest idea to get into a confrontation with the officers while he was armed but ultimately the agents there screwed up and killed a man they weren't justified in killing.

Pushing the woman that hard and spraying him might have been justifiable but it wasn't necessary.

Then they grab him while he is trying to help her up and go to detain or arrest him. Not clear for what but potentially justifiable (we don't know if there is more context)

While the agents were trying to handcuff him, one sees the firearm in his waistband and removes is. At about the same time someone yells gun and then two officers fire even though the other officer had just safely removed the gun from Pretti.

Could be bad training, contagious fire, bad officers (malicious or incompetent), or just confusion but in the end they shot him when they should not have been shot. I don't think criminal charges are appropriate here based on what is known so far but a wrongful death suit has a strong looking case. Yeah, a guy with a CCW might have committed a minor crime (stupid) but officers can't go shooting a CCW holder every time their partner removes the pistol from the suspect.  That is where the officers screwed up majorly and a man is dead now because of their mistake.

It is kind of like a famous shooting where a suspect was surrendering to officers but two officers were giving conflicting directions and when the suspect followed one direction instead of the other the cop shot him for making the wrong motion. Bad reactions by the officer led to the man getting shot when it wasn't a justifiable shooting.

So, you believe the officers action were the cause of his death and not the fact that a man with a history of uncontrolled rage when confronting ICE decided to obstruct officers trying to subdue another troublemaker?

i think you need to revisit what "cause" really means, and then learn what '"result' means.
hint;  The man was shot AS A RESULT of his own actions, thereby making his actions the CAUSE of his death.  Remove his poor judgement and rage against ICE from the situation, and he would still be alive.  i mean, how unhinged does someone have to be to kick and destroy the entire tail light assembly of an SUV as it's trying to drive away?  This is not normal behavior for an adult with good judgement and mature thinking.

The bullet/s caused his death, but the situation he created caused the bullets to be fired.

i find it troubling how quickly you are to blame law enforcement.  Most of the video analysis i've seen clearly lays the blame at the deceased's feet.  I put it in the same category as a man getting shot reaching for his cell phone when 3 cops have him at gunpoint and have warned him repeatedly to keep his hands in plain sight.  FAFO.

1. I saw a video of him (allegedly) kicking an ICE vehicle, causing the tail light to break. I would hardly call that uncontrolled rage. Is there other examples I am unaware of?

2. Initially the officer shoves the woman back and Pretti places himself in-between the woman on the ground and the agent.  The agent then sprays Pretti. Pretti turns away and tries to help the woman up at which point additional officers grab Pretti. Was the agent actually trying to arrest the woman or was it just a shove? If she was actually subject to arrest then maybe he was obstructing but if not then an obstruction charge would be hard to make.

This begs an additional question, if the officer's use of force against the woman pushed down was not justified then Pretti's actions in intervening is arguably the right thing to do. I don't know the context of why the officer shoved the woman so I am not going to litigate that, only pointing out that if it wasn't justified then Pretti's actions wouldn't be obstruction.

Now if you want to make the strictest argument that if Pretti had stayed at home or didn't intervene with the woman who got shoved then yes, by the purest view of things, his action ultimately lead to his death but that is an overly simplistic view of things. If you drove without a seatbelt and a drunk driver hit you, causing you to be ejected and die, do we just blame you and say your action caused your death? Yeah, you chose not to wear a seatbelt which would have saved your life but an incident like this isn't a single variable thing, a poor initial decision doesn't then justify everything that happens after. The drunk driver was still in the wrong despite your choice.

The tail light is also, ultimately irrelevant because cops can't retroactively justify their force by going into someone's record and finding bad behavior before. Unless the agents who fired could say "I recognized him as the person who kicked out tail light out last week" then it doesn't matter what he did previously. If you want to sit here and judge the character of Pretti then sure, you can use that property damage in your judgement but my comments focus on the agent's actions in deciding to shoot him. So maybe Pretti was full on TDS, a trouble maker, an angry emotional person, etc etc etc but the relevant question is whether he was doing something that justified the use of lethal force.

Think of it this way, imagine you have a CCW firearm and officers stop you for speeding. They find a warrant for an unpaid ticket and they arrest you. In the process of handcuffing you, one officer sees a gun on your waistband and yells "gun!". The officer then removes it from your waistband. Officer 2 and 3 then pull out their guns and shoot you because they hear you have a gun and maybe they even see it briefly. Yes it was your fault for speeding and for not paying your prior ticket but does that justify cops shooting you after the gun was removed from you safely by the first officer? No, the initial poor decision made by you doesn't then justify every use of force decision by the cops after that and it doesn't automatically excuse all of their mistakes either.

At the point the officers initially fired, did Pretti pose a deadly threat to officers? Since he was disarmed he obviously couldn't shoot anyone. Was there cause for thinking he might be armed? Sure, someone yelled gun so it would be reasonable for officers to draw their firearms but merely hearing the word gun is not a very good justification to start firing. What did they actually see that would justify them firing and continuing to fire? Obviously I don't know what they put in their reports and I only have what is in the video to go off of but I can't see anything to justify pulling the trigger. Maybe there is something more not audible or something the officer saw, like him grabbing a knife (made up example) which could justify the shooting but again, I am only going on what we can see from the videos. And since two officers fired, each officer has to justify his own decision, they can't simply say "I saw my partner firing so I fired too".

The Good shooting wasn't great, there were mistakes made all around, but it was a more justifiable shooting than this. They shot him thinking he had a gun after an officer had already removed the firearm, that is a  mistake on the part of the officers, not of Pretti. Pretti had little to no control at that point and since he was disarmed there wasn't an actual lethal threat present. This is why officer's screwed up. Does the chaos factor into it all to where officers could have reasonably believed they were in imminent danger? It sure does, but they also made mistakes along the way, actions which if they had handled better might not have lead to the shooting. That is why I have said I don't think criminal charges are appropriate but there is room to make the case that the agents made mistakes.

Your "initially" isn't the initial start. It began when he was in the road, thus no longer protesting on a public sidewalk.

So "initially", he was in the middle of the road.  Had he not done this, ICE would have not approached him.

That's stupid.  What the officer intended -- arrest or not -- doesn't change the fact that Pretti was trying to confront and interfere with the officer's actions.  How can the legality of HIS actions be contingent on the intentions of the AGENT?  It's a stupid argument.  It's analogous to shooting someone who points a gun at you and later finding the gun wasn't loaded.  Does your action then become unjustified based on unknowable facts?

This begs an additional question, if the officer's use of force against the woman pushed down was not justified then Pretti's actions in intervening is arguably the right thing to do. I don't know the context of why the officer shoved the woman so I am not going to litigate that, only pointing out that if it wasn't justified then Pretti's actions wouldn't be obstruction.

Since when does the law allow protestors to attack cops based on their personal perception of whether or not the cop's actions are justifiable force?  You're attempting to justify Pretti's actions based on facts that could only be known after the fact -- unless, like you, Pretti is also a mind reader.

Being simplistic is not proof that the reading of a situation is incorrect.  The simplest explanation is often the correct one -- I believe you've taken refuge in that truism more than once.

The tail light is also, ultimately irrelevant because cops can't retroactively justify their force by going into someone's record and finding bad behavior before. Unless the agents who fired could say "I recognized him as the person who kicked out tail light out last week" then it doesn't matter what he did previously. Show me where anyone here said agents who shot him were even aware of the tail light vandalism much less that they used it as justification.  The whole reason the tail light incident is relevant is it goes to the irrational and rage-fueled actions of Pretti.  That's not someone who needs to be armed when "protesting" ICE.

Look at it this way.  There were multiple agents trying to subdue Pretti.  If one or two agents knew his gun was secured and no longer on his person, how does that translate to others who only heard "Gun! Gun!"?  You are looking at it after the fact and with video you can study over and over.  In that instant, not all the of the agents were aware the gun was removed from the holster.  One video seems to illustrate it was Pretti's gun that discharged first after it was removed.  That prompted the officers who killed him to open fire.  Until there's a complete analysis of the shooting, anything you believe happened is just hearsay -- you weren't there.

Interesting that  2 agents who fired their guns.  So more than 1 thought he posed a threat after hearing "gun".

Pedestrian in roadway is a minor offense and not something ICE even addresses unless he is blocking their vehicles. They didn't even focus on him until he tried to help the lady up. Either way it doesn't factor into whether the shooting is justified or not.. Yeah he is breaking some law but he is in the camp of those protesters who daisy chain themselves to block roadways. Arrestable offense sure but not a lethal force one.

I'm not an ICE agent, nor am I a police officer.

But I do know if I was, I'd will be paying a bit more attention to you and your actions if you are acting and putting yourself where you shouldn't be.

The killing incident was unfortunate.  But legally and lawful in my opinion.

My take is this, and some of you out there will disagree:  If I decide to conceal carry, it is for my SELF PROTECTION AND PROTECTION OF MY LOVED ONES.

Knowing I am carrying, I take all my actions (what I do, where I go, what I say, and how I act amongst people) seriously.

I simply won't engage in illegal activity, no matter how small, even if it just involves a slap on the wrist, a simple misdemeanor, or a citation.  I won't do it WHILE ARMED.

Pretti didn't attack the cop for starters.

You are missing the possibility that the agent was acting unlawfully, thats the point of that paragraph. If I were a bystander and saw a police officer using unlawful force upon you and I stepped in-between you and the officer to stop then have I actually committed a crime? An officer isn't going to be justified in using force on me for obstruction if his initial actions were unlawful to begin with. Whether Pretti's actions are justified is just one piece of the puzzle.

For the record I am not suggesting Pretti didn't do anything wrong so you can dispense with that assumption.

I never made any such suggestion. The reason I mentioned this is that people are bringing it to light as if it matters in the shooting when it doesn't. It is just whataboutism people are bringing up to support their tribal position/

Irrelevant to the shooting. If you just want to attack Pretti's character then it is relevant but not Pretti's character is not the focus of my commentary.

I haven't seen any evidence that Pretti's firearm discharged after the agent drew it but even if that were the case, that would actually put the agents more at fault. Remember the video of the officer removing a CCW from someone being detained and she caused it to go off while removing it? You can't put the officer's mistake onto the detainee. Simply put, if the officer creates the confusion that leads to the detainee being shot then they share some of the blame. Back to my example of two officers giving opposite directions to a suspect, that is the officers creating the situation that lead to the shooting. Yes, Pretti made a decision that lead to officer's detaining him but the officers made mistakes that lead to him being shot. Once Pretti was at the bottom of that dog pile there was no amount of compliance that would have saved his life. Some officer or officers got confused at the sight/sound of the word gun and shot him after he had been disarmed.

This is not to say that any officer was malicious of course, it could just be poor training combined with chaos. The improvement points would be for whoever yelled "gun" to communicate better as well as for officers to not shoot simply upon hearing the word gun or seeing another agent firing/drawing his gun (contagious fire). Hearing the word gun by itself isn't a very good justification to open fire. There were multiple protesters in the area, what if an agent had been saying "gun" in relation to a different protester?

I fully agree with this sentiment with one caveat as it relates to the actions of law enforcement. There is always the possibility that someone with a CCW could be mistaken for a suspect (match description / in same area / etc.) which would lead to an officer detaining the individual. In such a situation, officers may discover the person is armed and it is upon them to react appropriately. Imagine if Officer A saw your CCW, announced it and Officer B then opened fire... This is where officers need to handle the situation correctly, where the agents in the Pretti shooting made a mistake.

" Arrestable offense sure but not a lethal force one." what's the point of this statement?  Are you unaware of how little things can escalate to bigger things that do justify the use of lethal force?

This is precious.

The whole thing is.

Are you confused about where you are posting this shit?

Every damn one of us viewed multiple videos of this shit-bag insurgent intervening in, and grappling with, the officers, while they were involved in an arrest - KNOWING HE WAS CARRYING!

Then, we learned HE DID THIS SHIT REGULARLY - carrying while assaulting officers carrying out their duty to arrest criminals.

Get the fuck out of here with this IDIOT REVISION SHIT!

Thank you
