Not worth starting a thread over it but anyway, my primary care provider told me in a cold, uncaring letter that they will no longer be honoring my health insurance starting Jan. 1, 2026. :stopjack:

Here's an interesting model. If he is successful it will become a lot more popular.
Imagine all those years in medical school just to be treated like a third world assembly line worker

People vaccinated against COVID-19 show a remarkably lower rate of cancer deaths.  However, they also died soon after the shot, which reduced the chance of cancer.

I think i saw something similar in a report once in which doctors concluded that oxygen causes cancer.  Observing a group of lab rats that was deprived of oxygen, not a single one of them developed cancer!

A recent study showed that parachutes do not improve your chances of survival when jumping out of an airplane

It was a randomized control trial, so don't question the science

Makes sense:

However, the trial was only able to enroll participants on small stationary aircraft
on the ground, suggesting cautious extrapolation to high altitude jumps.

When beliefs regarding the effectiveness of an intervention exist in the community,
randomized trials might selectively enroll individuals with a lower perceived
likelihood of benefit, thus diminishing the applicability of the results to clinical
practice.

Queens vs Humana ?

Queens vs Humana ?

Yes. I'm retired from my local electrical union and they have the Humana Medicare Advantage plan for retirees.  I've had my primary physician for over 20 years.  Because I'm diabetic we've worked together to manage it pretty well.

So I get this letter from her boss, I guess he's the head physician at the Mililani clinic and he says if I want to continue to have her as my primary I have to change plans or go back to basic medicare, yada yada.  He also said that they are discontinuing honoring Humana health plans because their plans do not enable them to offer me quality health care.

So I guess kicking me to the curb makes everything all better for them.  God Bless their little hearts.
