"California's replacement tire efficiency standards apply to commercial vehicles rated at 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight or less, including vans, pickups, and service trucks, with compliance required for tires manufactured on or after January 1, 2029, and tighter limits for tires manufactured on or after January 1, 2033. Class 7 and Class 8 tires are excluded from these rules."
