I don't think it was much of an assassination attempt considering it was a non lethal gas pistol.

Suicide by cop?  If so it didn't work.  Why did the security not stop him from climbing the stage, and shoot him if he pulled out a gun?  Lots of fail there.

Now I assume these lethal gas guns will be banned now.

Good move by the intended victim. 

"Gas gun" might mean one of those CO2 powered guns, or one powered by propane.  I've got a C02 Powered PPK BB gun that's that small.

Saw it on inside edition!  Not a real gun!  Supposedly it was some type of gas gun!
