Title: sent to a rep (d) that i know personally

i am writing to our legislators in support of bills that promote public safety by enabling law-abiding citizens to lawfully carry firearms
these bills level the playing field as criminal illegally carry weapons while they prey on the public
i am also writing in support of bills that limit liability for lawful citizens that are defending themselves from criminal behavior
these bills keep criminals from suing those that they are victimizing if the are injured or killed during commission of a crime

i am also writing in strong opposition to any and all bills that limit our rights to own firearms
these bills will add to an already onerous and costly (to the registrant and the city/state) process and will do little or nothing to improve public safety
as you may know, the gun laws here are already very restrictive, and making them stronger in reaction to recent events on the mainland will not prevent criminals and mentally ill people from obtaining firearms
they will only serve to limit the lawful ownership of firearms, which is in direct opposition to our rights as outlined in the second amendment of the US constitution
