Thinking of buying the P2x fury or the 6px pro! Which one did u buy?
-
I got the Fury. Great light, has two settings. Gets a little warm though.
-
I have 2 Fury flashlights. One a personal (2 stage) and one tactical (500 lumen only). Also got a 300 Ultra (500 lumen).
If I were you I'd think about what you want to use this for. First off you hit a short wall in a house and it's possible to backsplash yourself with 500 lumens and blind yourself. Outside the 500 lumens is awesome. Secondly SF will be coming out this year with lights that produce way more than 500 lumens.

Any thoughts on the surefire r1 lawman?
-
^^^Nope, not really sure what that model is.

OLight has some nice lights too. They are a little less expensive than Surefire and just as well made. I got mine from batteryjunction.com and am very happy with it and their service. (I am not affiliated with Olight or Battery junction).
They sell Surefire too, although Daniel at Kaneohe GS has very competitive prices for Surefire and batteries. (FYI)

M4 Devastator...a multifunction flashlight: Door stop, illuminator, and skull cracker.

warm is good. that means the heatsinking path is working and is pulling heat away from the led. cooler led means longer life and higher efficiency meaning more lumens per watt. i have some custom lights that get to 160 degrees externally because they are modded to put out extra power on high. literally warps plastic if you leave it on while sitting on an outdoor table. ask me how i know ::)
the cheap lights with the floating led driver are cool to the touch on the outside but the graph of the output shows a steady decline because of the overheated led. or they are just simply under driven and are running below optimal specs so it wont get very hot.

+1 on the Fury. That thing is crazy bright though I wish the high output was first when activating like the E2D.

Gonna wait for the surefire peacemaker

I own the fury, z-2, g2, x300, and R-1 Lawman. The fury and the Lawman are the best flashlights I have had ever. Fury does get warm though! But it's small, compact and the beam is tight and bright.
