Title: Get this guy in a debate VS Piers already
Post by: USAFSSgt on February 15, 2013, 11:44:22 PM
This dude needs some serious national exposure. Networks probably wouldn't like him on though because he simply makes too much damn sense...

Excellent!  Made my heart soar like an eagle!

Mrcolionnoir.  Gotta remember that.

The trouble is, you can't reason people out of positions they didn't reason themselves into.

And "reason" is only the tiniest, teeniest, itty-bitty part of the National Media's agenda.

I follow Colion Noir on FB and haven't seen a bad video yet.

Colion Noir is articulate, intelligent and makes ALOT of common sense.

I would love to see him get national exposure and  to debate the anti 2A crowd.

This. This is why I've given up debating people about anything. I'm just gonna like what I like until people change what I like...then I'll like whatever happens to be legal at that time.

Thanks for the tip on mrcolionnoir. Will definitely check it out.

I find that debating people about politics to be similar to debating about religion. Sometimes, doing so just forces them to dig further into their positions.

I find that a more effective approach is to show them by living examples. Show them good examples of gun owners by being one... Kind of like in "religion" also.

[edit] I find the most effective is if they experience things for themselves... also like in "religion".

Well thought out and articulately said..............that speech would never make it in politics.

Very nice.  I like the part about people being afraid of their own responsibility to defend themselves.  Never thought about that.

piers will just talk over him.  going on piers show is a lose lose situation since its his show and they run it their way.

That's why I recommend using your command voice to say "I'm sorry, I wasn't finished yet," and continue in your command voice.

With Morgan, and incidentally Rosie O'Donnel among others, I have seen him/them using this "interruption technique" on interviewees far too many times.

'Course, The Gunny (R. Lee Ermey) would change it to "Shut your <scatological reference>-filled piehole, you worthless womanly <procreational reference> wormbait, when your DI is talking AT you!"
