I'm considering applying for a C&R license. Is it a good idea to do a joint application with the spouse?
Would the spouse need to be on the C&R license if the purchased item will be jointly registered?

To joint register, you both have to meet eligibility requirements. If, for example, you were buying a handgun from a LGS, you would both need permits to acquire. A C&R purchase qualifies as an out-of-state purchase, so you should be fine with a single license. However, IANAL.

not worth the hassle for joint .... I would recommend that either one of you or both of you get individual licenses.... BTW if you wish to register jointly on the firearm purchase w/ a C&R license that's okay... Registration is purely at the state level and holds no bearing on the federal level C&R...
