Title: Press Conference Friday 11:30 at KHSC

The Mayor, along with the Parks Department, plan on having a press conference tomorrow (Friday) at 1130 at the range, to announce the expanded range hours. I don't know exactly where.

Might be a good opportunity to meet and thank the Mayor and Parks Director......

Odd tomorrow is a standard C&C holiday.  Maybe he is putting in for OT?

Looks like the press conference has been moved to Saturday at 1130. Not sure of the location yet, but possibly at the rifle range.

Is the range open today? I was gonna go down anyway but I don't want to waste my time if they're closed

The khsc that used to they were open on holidays, now says they're closed

Confused, too.  :crazy:

I printed the new "Extended Hours" schedule off their website a few days ago, and it showed "Holiday:  Pistol & Rifle -- 8a - 4p", with the exception of Christmas (marked "Closed" in red letters in the C&C Holidays table).

Today, the online schedule shows "Holiday: Closed" for ALL areas.  (Still show Christmas Day as Closed  ???)

I would be thinking the first list had a copy & paste typo (should have been closed on all holidays) had they not specified Christmas Day as closed -- like it is an exception.

This is probably the wrong day to call anyone to find out, huh?  (Good Friday!!)     

Most holidays are on Monday or Tuesday this year, so they close regardless.  Today is one of 5 C&C holidays NOT on Mon or Tue.

Just called them. They have a recording saying they'll be closed today :(

Hopefully after the hours change, the website will show that they'll be open on holidays going forth
