I was reading the story about the sexual assault on the teacher at Wahiawa Elementary School (http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/20101019_Police_hunt_suspects_in_assault_of_teacher.html) (very sad by the way) and came across a couple interesting comments.

Another user responded that he had never heard of that stance by Abercrombie. I tried to run a search and couldn't find it.

Five years ago I bought a $50 Stun Baton in Las Vegas and brought it back to Hawaii in luggage. Unlike a taser gun it doesn't shoot a projectile and an assailant has to reach out an grab it to receive a nice 50,000 volt jolt !! Two years ago the sparks that cross the two prongs were enough to educate an intruder in my carport to back off and flee. The money and 3 D size batteries were well worth it and I still have it available. The State Legislature should legalize such defensive instruments in Hawaii. The teacher could have used it on the scums.
Wow, it looks like at least people are willing to break the law in order to protect themselves. I am sure there are quite a few more people out there willing to do so.

As I've been told, Cattle Prods are Legal to own(and carry) in Hawaii.
Having said that, Try explaining that to HPD when you get stopped.......
But, I also understand that there are Small pocket sized cattle prods.

Same here. Not to mention the NRA specifically says not to vote for him for those reasons.

Unfortunately, the average voter doesn't care about sources or truth. If they "heard it somewhere," then it's enough for them... :crazy:
