Title: Hawaiireporter AR build
Post by: dirsh on April 16, 2013, 03:30:15 PM
Just happened to come accross this site when searching for AR building info. (Just wanted to know if it would be OK using regular punches instead of roll pin punches)

http://www.hawaiireporter.com/diy-ar-15-build-series-we-begin-the-build-part-1/123 (http://www.hawaiireporter.com/diy-ar-15-build-series-we-begin-the-build-part-1/123)

Seems like a regular news site that just so happens to have a reporter building an AR

Is this a member here (Rob Kay)?

hawaiireporter is not a "regular news site"

I don't know what you mean by that, I was referring to the fact that they're not a news site about firearms. I got to look around a bit more on it when I got home and its pretty informative. I like their "on target" features which have a lot of references to 2ahawaii. Looks like they just started those last month

they are not another news site in a good sense
malia zimmerman started at hawaii business news and now runs hawaii reporter
she is one of the few in the local media that is "red"
she is a supporter of the second amendment and is willing to report what the mainstream media won't on many issues

There is a Rob Kay somewhere in here.  I sold him my Magpul CTR stock for his build.  He said he was doing research also and might want to talk to gun owners.  Seemed like a nice guy.
