Looks like this may work out in our favor. I'd like to see what else they try to piggy back along with this bill, but if taken for face value, seems to favor the people for once. Maybe ammo prices will start to return to normalcy? We'll see...

Awesome. The voice of the people is being heard

Bunch of retarded shit from this lol. 1,000 rounds is nothing. More importantly, I'm going to bet that they are basing the ammo number off of how much HANDGUN ammo the Army guys shoot. Point: most army guys don't carry handguns!
Aside from that, 1000 rounds is nothing. I blew something like 2k rounds of 9mm in a 3 day course at Chris Costa's HE02.

So while the DHS stockpiles close to a billion rounds of ammo, LGS's around the country can't even put stock on their shelves, and it is retarded shit? As the government forces ammunition manufacturers to honor their contracts of hundreds of millions of rounds of ammunition before being able to supply ammo on the market to civilians, all the while leaving shooters to pay outrageous prices due to supply chain shortages, it's retarded?

From the Forbes article: "Also reported elsewhere, at the height of the Iraq War the Army was expending less than 6 million rounds a month. Therefore 1.6 billion rounds would be enough to sustain a hot war for 20+ years."
That's a bunch of ammo to be stockpiling. DHS, now, not DOD. And we make the assumption that this has no effect on supply chain dynamics? I think we at least should look into it.

true, but have you seen those that are issued qualify? They spend a lot of time trying ;D
