Title: action bays at koko head
Post by: dirtylickins on April 29, 2013, 12:16:06 PM
Does anyone know how to get permission to use those and reserve them for a day. Thinking that would be a good day at the range to do another shootogether day and really try out some stuff. ;)

You have to be a tax-exempt organization, carry liability insurance (1mil), and they submit requests twice a year.

HRA has fun shoots, HDF has range days - not sure what your trying to shoot that you haven't been able to.

I tried for years before to get them to do a ipsc/mppl test.practice day.  Test different guns or train new people.

Too many people want to try but are afraid to and just dont want to be thrown into a competition.

I myself havent shot a match in 20 years. I would love to have a practice day.

I can help if someone plans it.

I too would really like to be able to practice for USPA matches.  Right now, the only way to practice (live fire anyway), for the matches is to shoot matches.  I'd be interested in USPSA practice provided it doesn't interfere with the established schedules of the clubs, they're scrambling to share the available weekends already.

Shoot, sounds like my last match.  Had a dead trigger issue or failed to let up enough to reset the striker, and pulled again.  Wasn't really expecting  a bang but got it.  That's actually an AD, should've called it and DQed myself.  Wasn't sure at the time, but the more I think about it, the more it eats away at me.
