Jus wanted to know what other fellow .22 rifle shooters prefer to shoot??? Mahalo'z :shaka:
-
Henry lever action makes me feel like a cowboy then my next choice is a markII bolt achion followed by my ruger 10/22 and finally the m&p nuff said.
-
A well made bolt action for me. eg. Winchester 52 or similar. Such as Kimber, Ruger, Anschutz, and a few others that I cannot recall offhand.
I have a 10/22 but it is not very user friendly, and I had to re-bbl it to make it shoot straight.
-
I like my tacticool M&P 15-22
also have a 10/22 and will pick up a bolt action someday
-
M&P 15-22! No issues and my kids gets to shoot it also!
-
I only have one, and it is a Savage MKII BV.
I wanted to get into bolt action rifles, so I bought this to learn on.
This rifle is stupid accurate, so much so that it gets boring after awhile.
My wife loves to shoot this rifle, as well as my two daughters.
Solid gun with no problems what so ever.

Savage MKII TR and MP 15-22

My 10/22 followed by my M&P 15-22. One day I'll pick up a bolt action .22.

Remington 40x , Anschutz

I like to shoot my mp15-22 the most. I have it set up with the same stocks and sights as my regular ar, so its a nice alternative.

+1 except I also have a 10/22.
got Savage bolts in .22, .22WMR and .17HMR. All rimfire and all accurate as all get out with the great accu- triggers.
The 3 kids already each picked one. Good thing they didn't all want the same one.

10-22

Savage MKII FV or FVSR. 10/22 is too small and not very user friendly without a new bolt release and extended mag release.
-
remington 597
to me, its like how a factory 10/22 should be.
-cheap bull barrel option for like $20 more, accurate with any barrel option(1" groups at 50yds with winchester bulk, 1/4" with target ammo with either heavy or light contoured barrels.)
-5r rifling
-decent synthetic and laminated stock selections
-last round bolt hold open without the use of special finicky mags
-auto bolt release
-tool steel bolt rails
-preinstalled bolt buffer that is rubber and doesnt wear out every few thousand rounds
-magazine release takes one finger to operate and the mag can drop free, similar to ar15 platform but its a sliding switch not a push button.
-pretty good factory trigger(and instant 2.2lb trigger with light polishing, volquartzen hammer, n mcarbo spring kit $60 total,no gunsmithing needed. yes i know 10/22 have kits but the vq one i felt was mediocre for the money and the power custom adjustable was pretty good but he said its like a $100 plus needs fitting for safety, id just spend the money and get a whole drop in assembly from kidd)
not trying to start a war with the legion of 10/22 fans, i just bought a takedown myself. well actually i bought two, but after reading in depth about everything 10/22 i realized i wouldnt be happy until i spent a grand including the gun before i even get to optics.. and even then deep down inside id still wish for an aftermarket receiver with built in rail and rear lug and a bull barrel since that would just look badass and have the performance to back it up. so since i cant afford to build two to my specifications i need to sell one to fund parts to build the other!
i guess i was spoiled by my rem597 that cost $300 total, including trigger mods and shipping/ffl. i forget how much work and money some guys put into their 10/22's to make em as sweet as they are.

When I was a small kid, I saw an ad for the Nylon 66 and I've always wanted one.
But this was the gal that got away.

Frankengun AR15 CMMG Barrel with SS Action. Too damn reliable!
Ruger 10/22 Stainess Barrel
Charles Daly/CZ 22LR Bolt Action Awesome Accuracy
-
I like the ones which can shoot the subsonics cuz that's the only thing available now a days!
-
Only two I have, Marlin 60 and of course Ruger 10/22.

I agree with you Oldfart. I still have my first rifle which is an Anschutz Model 64 (Single shot bolt action). I took off the peep sites and put a scope on it to compensate for my bad eyes. But I still enjoy shooting it. The action is as smooth as silk and the trigger is still great! But I have to admit I also like shooting my Kidd Barreled 10/22's.

Anyone have any experience with the Winchester model 77?
-
Mahalo'z to everyone fo all dea suggestions. :shaka:

H&K MP5SD6 .22lr replica. First .22 i picked up and killed 100 yards targets with iron sights straight out if the box with zero sighting in.
