This information is incorrect. The correct date is 26 December.

It is a LIFE event but Daniel from KGS is the guy who sets up the course of fire and keeps track of the "competition."

The answer is "yes."

If you ever attend one of the LIFE/HRA fun shoots, you'll find Daniel at the helm.  He's the driving force that makes these things happen.  Much like you'll find Chris at the helm of HawaiiCCW, or 2A at the helm of this forum.  Daniel is a trusted and active member in both LIFE and HRA, so we lend our names to the events and provide the range time.  The fact that he is also owner of KGS is really tangential.

If it weren't for Daniel, I'd like to think we would still have monthly events, but trying to find someone with the commitment and skills needed would be a difficult task.

It's so fustrating! I've gone to all the guns stores I've wanted to go to, but everytime I plan on going to KGS something comes up that prevents me from going. I've probably looked at there web site a million times. Must try this Monday again.....lol >:(

I love the fact that KGS website is the only website that gives me prices.

+1 on that, and also Dan lists an inventory of what he has.  It's a long trip to that side for me, and its nice to know what he's got before I go.

The shoot was a pretty fun. This was a Hawaii Rifle Association affair. HRA membership was required to participate. 11 firearms total in this shoot. Remington 870, Savage MKII bolt .22 with scope, Ruger 10/22, AK, Glock19, Browning Buckmark .22 pistol, 1911A1, AR15, SW M66 revolver, HKP30, and SIG 226. Shooting was a little of everything:  strong hand, weak hand, DAO, modified prone, kneeling, precision, rapid fire, and reassembly drills. The competition was friendly and light and all shooting was done within 15 yards. I would recommend for this type of event for beginner to moderate shooter skill. This was a good venue for anyone wanting to try out different firearms and techniques in a safe manner without spending a large amount of money. I'm thinking of inviting more females since there was an interest in getting more to participate. Daniel is contemplating holding 3 such fun shoots next year.
