A poll to Stop the NRA
http://www.stopnra.org/ (http://www.stopnra.org/)
66% For the NRA
-
Voted!! Thank you!
2aH brothers, FIRE MISSION!
-
Weird poll, voted in it though. :shaka:
-
:snort: Voted. It was at 66.9%
(I paraphrase)
"STOP one of the only lobbying voices directly supported by the American People themselves!"
This whole "gun lobby" tactic irritates the hell out of me. The NRA has the power it does because, for the most part, it ACTUALLY represents the views a helluva lotta Americans. Congress knows this. They are well aware that we are buying up every AR, AK and every last round of 7.62, 5.56, 9mm and 22lr. The anti-gunners are correct in that the gun industry also supports the NRA and they are making a good living at the moment.... but that isn't why the "gun lobby" has the power that it does.
The "gun lobby" has that power because regardless of what politicians, the Supreme Court and gun ignorant peace activists think, WE believe that the 2nd Amendment means we have the right to (oddly enough) keep and bear arms. And we overwhelmingly vote with our dollars every time there is a whiff of a challenge to our (already much infringed) ability to do so.

let's hope they don't do what costco did in their poll and disregard the results because the poll received attention on the internet
they don't do that when the poll results are closer or if they come out the way they want them to be
any poll nowadays that is that polarizing gets attention from both sides on the internet, so to discount it because of that is ridiculous

Done....

Done.
We got to beat them every opportunity possible.
No matter if its calling in, submitting testimony, writing in, or voting, we need to out number them

Done...

A$$hats. They altered the poll results. They deleted about 20,000 votes from the "I agree" with the NRA from when I last looked at it. Shoulda grabbed a screen shot while I could.
So much for internet democracy.
-
Re-voted. What idiots.
-
if you click on the results link, it lists the number of votes as being 12000 more than what's counted
and on the front page it says "number of REAL votes"
so it looks like they are discounting a bunch of votes as being multiples from the same IP

Hahah so they redid the poll to show that the "disagree" have the majority. should not be surprised. Voting here is as useless as voting in the election.

let's hope they don't do what costco did in their poll
What happened here...
-
Wow what a waste of bandwidth.
-
lol, the new poll results barely add up to 60%
-
Well, shoot, they've got to get it up to the 90% that the President wishfully thinks were the truth.
Same IP? Huh. Do they know that the NRA has family memberships, too? Perhaps, just perhaps, several folks from the same household voted.
I copied the url and re-entered it independently from the 2aHawaii site.
I also lied a little because I don't happen to agree with absolutely all the NRA policies... which I won't go into.

costco had a gun control poll last year, and denied the results because of "fire missions" like what is going on in this poll caused the vote to be overwhelmingly against
the problem is, if people from the other side did the same thing, they would see it as part of the process
What happened here...
-
lol, the new poll results barely add up to 60%
That significantly raised my eyebrow..
-
after my vote i did the math i combined the total of the yes/no voters minused it from top amount of supposed voters and the number came out 10,999. votes missing??? do i think this poll is full of shiet?... i vote yes! i did not see an option for not sure like polls have? so whered those votes go?

Website doesn't work for me...
-
You do realize that most of these polls are phishing scams

You do realize that most of these polls are phishing scams
I'd have felt that way if it asked me for information. Only information it got was my vote.
-
Yup. The page is down.
I wonder if the "firemission" turned into a de facto DOS? :D
-
Do you agree that creators of poorly-worded inherently biased polls should be banned from the internet?
___ Yes
___ Maybe
-
Hm...the site still works for me..
Looks like even with the votes that mysteriously disappeared, YES is pulling forward yet again! ;D

X No
Regardless, we still have our right to free speech...no matter how retarded it can be. :shake:

I just tried on my phone. Not working for me

What do you expect from liberals. They always fudge things around!!
-
"Who cares about the votes, when you count the votes"
Glad they have been busted.
-
And now it's down for me..
-
They did not ask for any name or info, but I have to wonder about what did this person or group EXPECT to happen when creating this sort of web poll?
I feel like there are 2 possibilities. Either they were extremely naive or this was some sort of bait to track IP addresses of people who responded.
As of 6:30am Monday, it looks like the web page "STOPNRA.ORG" is "down for maintenance"
-
"I feel like there are 2 possibilities. Either they were extremely naive or this was some sort of bait to track IP addresses of people who responded."
Judging by their having to fiddly-fart around to backtrack, I vote for naivete.
That whole thing smacked of a bunch of passionate, self-righteous, sophomoric, anti-gun zealots who have no concrete notion of reality.
-
"On 6-8-13 stopnra.org was hacked and the vote count was inaccurately displayed. Our site administrator has finally remedied the issue and has restored the correct count to before the site was breached. We apologize for any inconvenience as we realize people are very passionate about this topic.
Thanks to everyone who voted."
Poll results have been "restored":
65.5% supports the NRA
29.9% does not support the NRA
The percentage still doesn't add to 100%.

I was able to vote this morning. Numbers looked like this:
Total votes: 31859
YES 20856 @ 65.5%
NO 9538 @ 29.9%
The numbers still don't add up and there is a % missing.

Hacked, eh?
Probably an inside job. :)
You can never be too careful.
It always amazes me that some folks who post polls like this think fire missions are unfair. Except that during elections that is called "getting the vote out" and is standard practice. The antis just don't have anything like "fire missions" on their side and even if they did... they'd still be in the minority.
-
Just voted and numbers are back up. yes = 22,364 (67%) no = 9,546 (28.6%) Still doesn't add up to 100% of the votes
-
This is not going the way they expected.
-
It told me that I had already voted today. Bull. Maybe they're not accepting "Yes" votes anymore?
