Spent time cleaning my BCG on my AR15 last week and the Firing Pin Retaining Pin (fancy name for another cotter pin) went sailing into the unknown .Don't ask me how; it just did.. Does anybody know if any of the LGS sell replacement pins or pin replacement kits? I'd hate to have to mail order something so small.

Thanks. Perfect excuse for me to drive over there tomorrow. I have some business I need to take care of in Pearl City tomorrow morning so I'll try to make it over there while I'm on that side.

While that would seem to be the sensible solution, it's really not advisable. Sure any 3/32" automotive or hardware store cotter pin can be trimmed/fitted to work, but the composition/hardness would be questionable. The potential damage to an upper is just not worth it...always get the right part.

Made it over to to X-ring yesterday and spoke to Brian. Shop looked awesome and packed with more stuff then the last time I was there. Lots of accessories. Brian dug through his stash and found a stock replacement pin and gauranteed that it would make me a better shooter all for a buck-fitty. Great service and nice setup. Will definitely have to make more of an effort to get over there.
