As far as bolt action goes, I'm pretty much a Savage all the way guy when it comes to rimfire.
Love that accu-trigger and the affordability. And every one I have shoots like a CHAMP ! Too bad I can't :(
So far 22LR, 17HMR ( 2 of them ) and 22WMR. Couldn't be happier with all of them.
(Actually I only have 1 of them, a classic 17HMR. Daughter 1 claimed the 22lr, Daughter 2 claimed the 17HMR and Son claimed 22WMR. All 20" bull barreled except my classic )

Had a Ruger Single Six with the two cylinders, couldn't make it shoot with either the .22LR or the .22WMR. Gave it away. Got a Marlin 25M with Bushnell scope, couldn't make that one shoot accurately either with the two brands of ammo I tried. I'll give it another chance someday.
Not overly impressed with the .22WMR cartridge based on these two experiences. If I had to do it all over, I'd get a Savage in .17 HMR.
