Actually, since this is an isolated incident, do they Really have a need to carry guns?

After all, the attackers were "children" and they "only" had a machete......
Other news: American grey squrrils have invaded England and have pushed out the native red squrrils.
News clip showed 2 hunters with 22 cal rifles hunting and eating the grey squrrils.
Interestingly, one hunter had a supressor on his rifle. Yep, they are Legal to own and use in England. Good neighbors don't go making
loud noises scaring the game.......

Supressors are REQUIRED in many European countries shile hunting.....wouldn't want to scare the other animals or disturb the bucolic countryside

That's surprising. New Zealand has gun shops with AK's, AR's,Saiga's and even Dragunovs...but I didn't know their police were unarmed.
