Title: Moving to Big Island , rules on relocating Antique arms prior to 1900

Can anyone tell us the requirements regarding relocating and bringing our antique collection. All are pre-1900.

They're not legally guns; no registration required.

Crazy Cat is correct. The cut off date is 1898. But that's the date of manufacture. Not just the model number. But moving even post 1898 firearms intra state i.e. island to island, does not require police registration in the new county.

Wait and see on this!  There is a felon in possession case going on; guy basically says he can't be charged with it because the Federal law doesn't count these old guns, as  guns... but it was a working operational "gun" as we would know it.
