My friend was telling me about an episode of Spike's "Deadliest Warrior" where the special forces Spetnaz had a pistol holster that they draw downwards that also cocks and releases the safety in one motion. Here's a youtube video I found of it:

This is a pretty neat concept, I just wish they made it in more common pistol types.

I like that. That would be perfect for a 1911 style single action only pistol. No need to keep er cocked and locked.
