Nice shooting.
Anybody know who the shooter is?

No, video clip. They had a video of a gun mounted to the helicopter and were shooting animals on an open field.
I was up on mauna kea a few days ago in the hunting area and as I left I saw some military trucks towing what looks to be M777A2 Howitzer's.. I was up there shooting my .300 win mag... I saw those and thought to myself...Now, those guys have some bad ass toys!. Makes my 300 look like a bb gun. The sheep are in for it now!

Watching the video again. My observations:
It might not be local video.
The rifle at 1:05 in looks like an AR platform but it seems to drop the animal faster than I would expect.
It is hard to gauge the distance.
Still pretty damn good shooting from a moving helicopter.
Sucks for the sheep.

The aerial
hunt(not hunting in the remotest sense of the word) slaughter is done by a contractor hired by dlnr. The fly around chasing the sheep till they can't run anymore then gun them down rams, ewes, and babies. Then they fly a small portion of the shot up sheep for salvage. All for the sake of a little bird up on mauna kea that has continued to decline over the last 30 years all the while sheep getting eradicated.
