I'd wait and save up a little more for an Arsenal. I love/hate mine. I love shooting mine but with a torn left shoulder I have a hard time supporting it now. Its been neglected lately

Own or have owned both Arsenals & WSARs (Century), they've all shot well & were generally built well also. The paint finish, sometimes over park, on my Arsenal rifles is okay but does wear a lot faster than I though it would & both have canted front sights (they still shoot straight ;) ). My Century AK74 was just as accurate as both the SGL31 & 31-84 at 1/3 of the cost (back in the day), I coated it in baked on Alumahyde II and it's held up quite well over the last few years. The Century WSAR 10 had a near perfect front sight but the build quality was a little on the rough side, cosmetically speaking. It never failed to function and was a joy to shoot. Either way you can't go wrong, just depends on where you want to invest... More on rifle less on accessories, vice versa, or go all out on everything
Enjoy your AK! :shaka:

Oh, and...
My friend has a new Century M64 RPK, the same type currently on sale at OGC. It's pretty awesome & a ton of rifle for under $900, and looks crazy with a 40rd mag or 75rd drum. I've shot it, smooth & accurate, built very well.
So you could get a WSAR 10 & M64 RPK for the price of a SAM7! Just saying... ;D

Great choice, getting an AK.
They are extremely reliable and definitely underrated in the accuracy department.
There are tons of choices.
The 10/63 is a great entry level AK. I've shot dozens of them over the years and have never seen a bad one.
Some have had slightly canted sights, some have had horrible finishes, but they've all gone bang when I pulled the trigger.
I've seen some where the magazine well was a little big and every magazine I put in was a little loose. It never hindered function or reliability.
The Chinese AK's tend to have superior fit and finish and accuracy bit are picky about magazines.
Yugoslavian AK's are nice. A little heavier but fit and finish are superior. The wood is much higher quality.
Russian AK's are excellent. Definitely some of my favorites.
Bulgarian AK's are very nice in the AK world (IMHO)
If I had to rate AK's I'd rate them as follows.
All these ratings are for AKM's chambered in 7.62x39
Milled SLR-101 10
Milled SA-M7 10
Milled Polytech Legend 10
Russian VEPR 9
Hungarian SA-85 8.5
Most Bulgarians 8
Most Russians 8
Stamped Polytech 8
Norinco 7.5
Yugoslavian 7
Romanian 6.5
Polish 6
Romanian 5.5
Egyptian 5
This is not a comprehensive of every single AK ever made, just a list of AK's that I have had first hand knowledge with.
Hopefully it helps.

No need to...I was just curious because that is a pretty good AK by all accounts. It's not the typical run of the mill Yugoslavian AK. Just figured you probably have one too.
Edit: here is one on GB without all the evil features to save you the trouble of getting your's out. This one is in mint condition...current bid is $2K. Notice this one is marked M-90...that is post-ban. True pre-ban's are marked either AK-47 or RPK-47.
