I'm only selling the PSA junk and keeping the nice ones like the M1 carbines, Tavor 556 and 9mm conversation kit, M1A socom 16 and the BRN180's and sending them to Texas.
I dont think there is much you can do about the guns until the hearings are done unfortunately. IIRC you can sell them but obviously that is not what you are looking to do.
Harassing TROs are a pain in the butt but the thing is that the judge is nearly always going to take safe approach of believing the petitioner in the beginning. Hopefully you can mount an adequate defense, make sure you get the report from elder protective services saying they found no evidence of abuse.
If the judge isn't taking your side at all you can also inform him that you are leaving anyway so that there would be no issues anyway.

Did you get a lot of warning or did the police just show up at your door one day?I had all my firearms packaged and ready to ship to Texas and they had an eviction order and I signed an affidavit that I had already shipped them off island. The officers werent too happy they had to unwrap 20 rifle boxes and log them.
My cousin and husband had been threatening for weeks what they were going to do. They said they were going to send their friend and 13 cousins. Special agents came at night and prowled around the house while I buttoned up and didn't answer the door for 4 days. I would have gotten them off island 2 days later.

Long story short, my cousin and sister ganged up on me while my father was in a nursing home and my cousin hae DPOA, on the grounds of elderly physical and mental abuse and misappropriation of funds. DHS elderly protective services investigated and my father denied physical and mental abuse and knew about what I spent of his money, mostly on food, bills, and home improvements.
I was his primary caregiver and he preferred to stay at home with me and do what he wanted, when he wanted and ate what he wanted.
My firearms were confiscated for the duration of the hearings but the first OSC hearing went well in my favor. My sister forced my cousin to use overreaching terms like "torturing", "starving", "punishing", and other outrageous claims.
The judge asked if the plaintiff was sure she wanted to continue to trial and she agreed to a trial.
I've reached out to HIFICO several times without a response but it's the holidays so I understand but I need help ASAP. Continuance hearing is Jan24th. Main concern is getting my firearms back and send them out of state. I'm moving out of this unrecognizable state that i was born in, in March.

I'd take the list there personally and ask for some form of receipt so you have proof you gave HPD proper notice. You'll need some kind of proof if they decide to come after you for the fines.
Notice they give you a 5-day window to provide notice? That really makes it difficult for people moving while also dealing with shipping cars, packers, movers, temporary lodging, cleaning rentals, inspections, turning off utilities, etc, etc. So many things to manage just on te Hawaii side at the last minute, not to mention all the things to do preparing for where you're heading.
There's no reason they couldn't provide a 30-day window with the expected date for the firearms to leave Hawaii. I mean, you might have the firearms packed up with household goods and sitting in a warehouse for who knows how long before they actually leave the state. Making this a 5-day window is ridiculous.

My storage fee for half of my house in Texas plus my 2000lb safe and 38 firearms is about $150 per month but all the firearms are stored in a climate controlled secure private locker. I of want to store 6 firearms....I do have a trusted relative.....maybe I should just take them to Texas.....but Hawaii is my family home.

If HPD brings it back for PTA, HPD needs to make sure one name, one time slot. No exchanges, no swapping, no giving to someone else.Is there a change in the registration process, Todd? I'm one of those tried to register when the system was down, signed the back of the registration hardcopy and told to come back another time. Only thing I haven't been able to do yet is sign on their touch pad and get a hard copy of the registration.
Registration already settled. No need to be done in person.

« on: September 29, 2021, 04:11:35 PM »Their system "goes down" quite often latelyI still haven't officially electronically signed the registration paper and got a copy of the handgun being registered. I finally found work 12 hours a day from 6am to 6pm.
I'm going to try and get it done this Monday Oct 4th. I'm half expecting the SWAT team to roll up af 0430 before I'm up for work.

They took my Permit to Acquire and signed the back. I went back and the day was fully booked and told to come back the next day. Then I tried again this week and got a high lotto number and I couldn't wait to sign the registration on the touch screen. I'll try one more time tomorrow, Friday before labor đay weekend.....
