General Discussion / Re: Kaleo Arms
« on: May 03, 2026, 11:50:38 AM »
Hi! Yes, I got your email from yesterday. Just answered it.

As mentioned by others, our business model is a little different for ammunition. Most of the ammunition orders are invoiced through email requests but sometimes we do put ammunition online. The online ammunition will show an estimated pallet departure date from the Midwest. From the estimated departure, it takes about 2-2.5 weeks for ammunition to be delivered to Hawaii via truck/ocean/UPS. UPS does the final mile delivery intra-Oahu. Your order came in the day after the April pallet departed. At any rate, given my miscommunication, I have canceled and refunded your order.

For everyone else reading this post, our next pallet will depart around May 12 with estimated delivery by UPS towards the end of May. Additional ammunition for this pallet will be added online by Wednesday but we are still doing the requests also.

Thanks! And please feel free to reach out with any questions!!

Jennifer

Thank you for the information and refund. First time ordering from your company and assumed the webpage showed stock on hand especially after placing the order it was then removed from the on line availability. Is there any way to know when orders are due or shipments are being planned to be shipped to Hawaii? I did not see it on the webpage when I placed my order. In any case, hopefully I will be able to place an order in the future.

Anyone know how long usually they take to respond to an order / ship? Put in an order on April 18th no response. Tried to call, message, email no response. Are these guys still in business? If not I need to call my bank for a refund.

If anyone knows this business please DM me the real contact.

Thanks

Just an observation here, but has anyone else noticed the all of a sudden increase in gun reported incidents on the news lately? Especially here in HI. Just saw on the news again tonight some shooting on Tantalus and Kailua. Tantalus vehicle in the incident, no front plates just random firing in the air. Interesting...

September Xringsecurity has a course.

Should be a good class. The guy running it is the agelite owner I believe.

I’ll be there if it’s still on.

New account but have been lurking for a while, been looking to get a pair of mononods. But before I pull the trigger, what are some ways that you guys train under nods, and is there any groups or places to train under nods. If there is a place or group that would like to reach out to me please PM me. I am an aspiring civi LARPER/ Want to train  :geekdanc:

Lockable case with TSA locks
You retain the key
Check in with an agent not kiosk and declare the firearm
They will drop a firearm card in your luggage/case
Send it

You may have to wait at the bag drop area after you send it invade the TSA guys have access issues. (At least on the HAL side)

Not a big deal to do.

Aloha! Curious to see what all is needed to bring my guns to the mainland with me.

Don’t do it 😂 a DEEP rabbit hole.

My friend let me and Mrs. CMO sample.  IDK the name, but it cost $13K alone just for the unit. Then add in the additional cost for bump helmet, battery pack, housing, etc...

I was impressed. Can see the leaves on a tree about 70 yards away.  Depth perception was good, although it was blurry compared to further images when up close to stuff.  Even under light, it was also fine. Not like the movies where 1 goes blind when the light turns on.

And of course Mrs. CMO wants 1 now. That's a pass due to the cost.  Cause I would need 1 too, so $26K minimum.

Thinking about bringing in a shotgun from Buds Gun shop. Warren Oshiro no longer offers his services and Mr. Hamasaki is listed as a Buds preferred dealer. I called and left him a message to make sure it’s ok with him before I order. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks! :shaka:

Brent is a solid guy. Echo the email first.
