General Discussion / Re: Molokai trip
« on: August 11, 2023, 08:17:09 PM »
Mokulele airlines doesn't do a very good job servicing the island of Molokai.

Prices skyrocketed after they bought out Makani kai
Delays & cancelations are common
All sorts of new fees & procedures
Staff not familiar with FAA rules.

Everyone misses makani kai
There is supposed to be a new airlines that is trying to start up to service Molokai

Political Discussion / Re: 20 Years Down The Drain

This is a story about the guy that came up with those amusing Bud beer commercials >:(
The guy was brilliant. I loved the commercials. When I reconnect with old friends I still say "wazzzupp"

'It took me 20 years to build this brand... they dismantled it in a week', says man behind Bud's iconic ads
Robert Lachky, whose adverts in the 1990s helped Budweiser become America’s most popular beer, said two decades of work had been ruined over Bud Light’s Dylan Mulvaney fiasco.

I'm going to have a beer to salute this guy.

Real men of genius was offensive.
Shows who were the actual genius though

So a fraction of a percentage of the Hawaii State population who can’t even manage to even come up with a workable constitution want to secede from the empire and then what? The rest of us magically disappear?

My guess is it'll pretty much stay the same
Just replace democrats with Hawaiian nationals.
Or a puppet US backed government that's Hawaiian.

Political Discussion / Re: Per Grand Jury - There was no election fraud
« on: February 18, 2023, 12:05:04 PM »
The grand jury heard “extensive testimony on the subject of alleged election fraud,” according to the report, but voted unanimously “that no widespread fraud took place in the Georgia 2020 presidential election that could result in overturning that election,” rejecting arguments made by Trump and his supporters.

I mean if the government wanted to show people that the election system is secured & trustworthy or wanted to move forward towards building back better,  they should have let the case move forward & let everything come out into the open.

I thought it was 9am but it's actuality 10am.

You still have time to submit testimony

Sorry guys, but I don't quite understand about the "submitting their name" part.

When I submit testimony (which I recently did with SB 1230), I submit my full name.

Why would someone be concerned about submitting their full name for or against any legislation?

They (government) aren't gonna come breaking down my door with torches and pitchforks will they?

Or will they.  This is Hawaii, lol!

It becomes public record,  or at least publicly posted.
So you can see who submitted testimony,  if they are for our against.  What additional comments they put.  And who the person is.

What people do with that information,  well,  yeah

Legal and Activism / Re: Oahu CCW rules completed

Interesting.

Did the Chief ever state publicly as to what parameters he is using to approve these applications?

I mean, prior to a CCW application and test, the applicant already went through the toughest, bullsh*t vetting process in the nation.

Is he looking for recent run-ins with the law?  Recent domestic altercations?  How the f**k long does that take.

Or is he just dragging a$$ because he can and he wants to?

I'm a betting man and I bet on the latter.

He waiting for 90 days to pass,  so you have to do the shooting requirements again.

The J6 committee is being broken up,  so cue the next witch hunt propaganda about orange man bad.
10
Reverse psychology maybe.

Dems will be on the news tonight saying we support the constitution, especially if Trump wants it gone!!  They even support the 2nd amendment... oh wait...
11
Usually during a mass shooting they talk non stop about the shooter or type of weapon used.

This time there's no mention.  I wonder why
Not the narrative they want.  It won't be news for much longer

Done

How is it legal to retroactively apply “rules” ex post facto?  Might as well just keep moving the goal post. Seems to work well in forum debates.

Maybe they'll use it as a sell out.
Create a division between those who have a permit & those who don't.

Grant those sitting on the desk, deny all future applications.
Saying, see we granted 500 permits.  Now we won't issue more for another 50 years.
Green got their back & already has his lawyers on speed dial.

They would still catch some fall back from the community though

What HAS been discussed at length on this board is that poster has NO idea what the rules, protocols, etc are with classified documents.  Just tries to parrot talking points they've heard online in attempts to show credibility. . .

Reminds me of another poster that writes as though everything said is a fact

It just means they wanted a different prosecutor to file the indictment and prosecute the case. It's a simple case where:

1. Investigators presented evidence to judge that there where stolen Top Secret Government documents at the Ex-presidents house and were granted search warrant.
2. Search warrant was executed and evidence of crime was found in the Ex-Presidents desk drawer among other places.

Document case is a paper case and solid.  Obstruction case investigation continues. If the DOJ was not going to indict there would be no reason to assign a special prosecutor. Every other person that has had documents labeled TS SCI at there house has gone to prison. It's just a matter of time before the grand jury determines probable cause which will allow the DOJ to create the indictment.

You have any names or references for this?

control of their bodies

Is that like mandatory covid vaccines & masks or being able to choose if they want an abortion?
