FYI.  So the first 50 people in line from 7 am.  They will get a ticket with a time on it to come back later.  So sort of like how the dmv used to be.

We might get concealed carry sooner than we think. These issues could all become very real in the not too distant future

The moment this happens and classes are available.  I’m there!

it's pretty BS that we aren't allowed to protect our property using deadly force IMO.  especially since criminals seem to want to use a firearm increasingly more now days to rob people.

these protests are stupid as fuck.  blocking traffic and shit.  i won't say everything on my mind because it's too much.

Still wondering if it’s legit since I just picked up a permit yesterday and they told me no.  My brother is picking up a permit Tuesday and we’ll see if something maybe has changed.

They doing what they do best.  And the weak ass Hawaii law system will probably let him out again by lunch today.

Do you need to actually meet someone at HPD to trade or transfer appointments?  Still not able to cancel appointments.  Looks like need to wait 90 days for new appointments or registrations???

You can try call them and transfer it but they’ll possibly accuse you of selling appointments like they did to me when I was just asking questions about the new system.  I have just went down to transfer since I helped friends out and it was faster to use my autofill info instead of putting theirs in when I was able to get it.

PTA appointment 4/23 at 1020. LMK if you want or maybe trade.  Looks like the only way to transfer is to meet up at hpd, and I don’t mind doing that. PM me.

Wish there were more information in relation to the firearms ending up in criminal hands.  The crimes happened on a Tuesday.  KHSC is closed to the public.

Was the owner of the stolen vehicle going to a military range?  Was the owner LE and going to KHSC?  Was he going to HPD to register firearms?

Agreed.  they didn't say how they got the firearms.  did they break into a house?  someone had it in their car?  regardless though every single day that goes by i feel more and more that we should be carrying.  Now if only HPD would fix the appointment system so i can get a permit at least.

Update.  So I called and asked in general.  Talked to the supervisor.  It was NOT a fluke.  This is the new system.  Due to people selling appointments, now people need to call in to cancel appointments.  So the days of getting appointments at random times and late nights is over.  Must look while someone is there and canceling it from HPD themselves.

Went to HPD today to pass on an appointment to a friend and I decided to ask what happened.  So from what one of them heard.  (Not 100% certain), might have been an IT upgrade error.  Said they did an upgrade that was supposed to improve the system but it deleted the cancel button.  So they are working on fixing it.  Cross our fingers guys!

I hope your shop doesn't charge fees.  I see a bunch of really pissed off shop owners and customers already.

Lucky it’s my friends shop, so got a little give.  But nothing we can all do now until they get it back or something.

The Handgun I’m buying tomorrow will sit at the shop minimum 90 days then.  And that’s IF I can even get an appointment any time soon.

Does anyone know why HPD changed it so people can no longer cancel their appointments?  That basically means if and when we even score an appointment it will only be the ones way far down the line now...
