I hope I can get some help from y’all local guys. My wife and I are planning a trip next June and I was thinking about trying to get some hunting in if possible. We were in Lanai last year and I absolutely loved it. I’m from Texas and I’ve hunted all over the state but most importantly I just love being outdoors. I was truly amazed by all the axis and Rio turkey Lanai had and I would wake up early and drive the roads just to see all the animals Lanai had to offer. But my question is, is a person wanted to do a day or two of hunting do I need a guide/outfitters to take me on a hunt. Or if I found a local guy willing to take a Texan boy out for a hunt could they. I don’t mind paying an outfitter but I’d rather pay someone that enjoys the outdoors as much as I do and pay them for their time and make a new friendship. I’m not picky on what I want to hunt I just want the experience of hunting on y’all’s beautiful island.
