can you elaborate on how that kind of communication system is set up?  I'm just in it so that in case of a natural or unnatural disaster, I'd have some way to get an idea of what's going on.  im down for learning whatever you can teach the rest of us.

I've had great results with Wilson mags in 45.  My buddy runs them in his 9mm still and swears by them.  Not cheap but well made, durable, and reliable.  Perhaps not worth the price for a range-plinking gun but that would depend on the owner.

Not trying to be negative but, you invested in this more as a learning experience and hobby project more than an investment project?

Would you says its relatively mobile?  The reason I havent jumped at the opportunity to mount PVS on my roof is that I figure the time I'm going to need them the most is right after a natural disaster.  There's most likely would be a hurricane and I don't think some solar panels would survive the wind and debris.  Might lose the whole roof right?  So, the heaviest components, batteries, would need to be protected from rain, flood, and flying debris which I don't think would be especially difficult.  Getting the panels down and protected quickly and safely would be more challenging right?  Have you made any considerations for this?  Are the panels light?  If I were to try setup a system my goal would be to have the panels taken down and protected during the event and possibly setup in the yard after.  Preferably concealed from the street or vantage points.  If I don'tgot a roof then iI'll set it up in my living room.  I'm anticipating power would be a precious commodity at that point, something I would not want to advertise by remounting to my roof.

I live far from the coast (well relatively), and am not planning on moving.  The resources my family requires would be too cumbersome to be moving around with.  Plus the pets situation.  And where would I go anyway?  Its an island.  So, primarily interested on your ideas on moving the panels and if its a logical concept.  Thanks.

Hnl.fly boy, are you determining your seating depth by measuring your oal?  Or are you using a comparator and measuring off that reference point?

Not to scare you away but heavies is very ... "particular" about reloading.  Needs to have exactly three ti leaves tied to the front right corner of the reloading bench and a container of salt next to the charge master. 

Just kidding.  He cares about humidity, temperature, and static in one hand and his horoscope, a mcdonalds straw, and weak coffee in the other.  Strange strange guy but somehow it works.  I placed well in the last f-class match with his rifle and ammo.  Email is the best way to communicate with him.  He's a mumbler.  Good luck counter.

I really like the red ding seating die.  It definitely should come in handy when trying to find ideal seating depth since its marked.  You can try out different depths and dial right back when you find something you like.  Or go back and forth between different bullets for different firing lines.  Biggest pro: having the confidence that the seating depth is set exactly the same every time.

For the original question.  I use a lee classic with breech lock.  It works.  Doesn't work with redding(?) primer pocket swagger kit.  Had to buy the bench top version.  Tried a friends Forster coax and damn.  Been wanting one since.  Noting wrong that I can identify with the lee but the coax is a bit more convenient and so much smoother.

Does the military use steel cased ammo?  They shoot a bunch and are going through budget cuts.  What about police departments?  They both got lots of guns and need lots of ammo.  Well not as much as we would like them to though.  They don't reload.  Polymer coated should mean it would corrode less easier than brass and perhaps have a longer shelf life.  What's not to like?  Maybe the polymer coating isn't bpa free and hazardous to those who get shot by bullets fired from polymer coated steel cases. 

Think 1/4 moa is 1.5" at 600. 

2-3" groups are still much better than I get.    
My rifle wasn't bought whole, it was home built and while all the components didn't come out to 2k, it did come out to a bunch more than 1k.  The glass was about same as the rifle.  It feeds on ssa 77 gr. Otm's. 

Right now "i'm" getting 3/4 - 1/2 moa groups when I'm doing good.  When im not doing so good ... well lets just say ive gotten a miss before.  That target frame is huge but its possible.  I wouldn't be surprised if someone could do better with that rifle but rifle matches aren't the measure of the rifle are they?  Its my rifle so I measure it by what I can shoot with it.  Btw, that's with optics.  I'm kinda scared how horrible I'd do with irons. 

Can people start listing their components for their 1/4 moa rifles.  Maybe pictures.  Especially the $600-$1000 ones.  I would really like to be competitive in f class with an ar since everyone else so far is using bolt guns.  Ar guys need more representation!
