SIG said it was a broken spring.

Anyone have insight regarding how this can cause the firing pin to activate the primer with a fuctioning striker disconnect present?

"Closes for good due to COVID"

I always find it hilarious, yet annoying when media attribute these closures to "covid" rather than the real reason imo- government mandates and associated BS. SMH. Loosahs

I tried in good faith to reg my firearm online, but they emailed back saying I needed to drop the original permit to aquire off at Beretania or mail it in before they will register it.

There was nothing on their web page regarding this. Smh. Guess I'll just wait.

Impressive reply. I would feel bad if I just typed "Raaj" in response.
Hopefully the robots at HPD & C&C are holding on to whatever little bit of reason they have left in their smooth brains.

Not sure if they take your gun however it shouldn’t be a problem getting your gun registered within 10days.

Maybe. But there's a shitload of people who still haven't reg'd under the assumption there was no definitive time requirement.
I was there earlier this month, and the huge white cop was asked- he admitted there was no time requirement, but told the guy, "come in as soon as you can".

This is BS if they only giving 10 days, unless they grandfather the guys from earlier.

If you do not register it in 10 days, the PTA process has to be repeated.

So they will confiscate the firearm and force you to re-apply?

I just tried to walk in and reg. The guy said he was booked until 1145 but could hand out appointments for after that. He also mentioned we could stand around and see if there were no shows.

+1 for disassembly into parts. Legal in all states except Democratic People's Republic of Chinafornia.

Then, sell as parts kits or save for when you move back to a free state. Lmk if you decide to sell.  :shaka:

General Discussion / Re: HPD Walk Ins for Registration
« on: June 07, 2021, 06:40:22 PM »
It was mentioned in the "How's the line at HPD" thread that there is also "stand by". No appointment, just wait and if no one is at the window, it's your turn. I was there this past Friday, late morning with an online registration appointment I got months earlier. There's no covid screening, went in, got check off the list and went to the window to register. While I was waiting for the registration to be typed, the officer manning the front door confirmed that if you just wanted to wait, you could "stand by" with no appointment. It was empty at the time and he said if someone came right now, without an appointment, they could go straight in since the window was open.

Good info. Thanks ma bradda!

Thanks for all the quick replies, my dudes. Makes life easier for simpletons like myself.

Walk-ins are less of a "walk-in" and more like in-person booking of registration appointments.  If you're lucky enough to show up when nobody else has that time reserved, you might actually be accepted as a "walk-in."

I was afraid of that. Great structure and grammar as usual, Flapps.  :worship:

All the bickering and d*ck swinging in this thread lost me. TL;DR.
Can someone definitively tell me what HPD means by "walk-in registration"?

Firearms and Accessories / Re: Sig P320 RXP XCompact...accuracy?
« on: May 18, 2021, 09:26:01 PM »
Disclaimer:  Before some simp makes a dumb comment about gLoCk PeRfFfEcTiOn, YMMV.

I've been running an Xcom RXP with R1P & TLR7a for about six months. Prior to this, I hated Sigs because of an SP2340 I had, which sucked balls. G19s were my go to, I had gen 4 & 5 with RMR. My life changed when Brent Hamasaki FFL let me shoot his Xcom.
So far, I put ~500 rounds of mixed ball/HP through the Xcom on a flat range with no malfs.
Still able to conceal decently, but carries bigger than a G19 due to a slightly longer grip height & higher bore axis. The beaver tail negates the muzzle flip associated with the high bore axis, and makes the gun funner to shoot.
The firearm is more accurate than me, but i still can hit a 10" target consistently at 25yd, moderate rate of fire.

TLDR,
Ditched glocks for the Xcom. Sig's new gen pistols are fiya!

How's it gang - what indoor ranges have the best handgun selection to rent? Been wanting to try a few models (HK, CZ, M&P, Walther). Mahalo!

I'm willing to wager a few guys here may have what you're looking for, & be happy to let you sample if you bring your own ammo. It's worth a shot.
