I had a Ninja. I was going about 20mph down a side street approaching an intersection and saw a car approaching from my left. He had 2 options, make a quick stop and go or stop and wait for me to go thru. He stopped, I went thru and  next thing I know the car is within inches of me, I pulled my leg up and avoided it being crushed. Left side smashed, I ended up on the hood of the guys car, and bike fell over and smashed the other side.  Mofo said he "didn't see me." Bike was totaled, I was a little banged up. Responding officer said I'm lucky I saw the car or I wouldn't have my left leg anymore. From that day I was not allowed to ride anymore. Hawaii drivers suck.

Anyone brave enough to try this?

Get a price adjustment. Almost any store will do it with a price change so close to your purchase.

While HPD won't ask for a receipt, it is a mighty handy source for the proper name and address of the seller, which HPD will ask for.

If you got it from a store then they just write the name of the store on the form. I assume it's because they already have all the info for the stores already. If you got it from a private party then all that "acquired from" information should be filled out when doing the transfer.

I have my recurve ordered through Island Archer and just waiting for it to get here. My only experience with archery is from boy scouts so I'll be doing a lot of learning. I heard everyone (clubs, experienced people who can help you, etc.) hangs out at the Waipio range which is behind the pool and you can't see it from the parking lot so you just have to walk in that direction and you will see it eventually. I thought the archery range at Kapiolani was shut down and hasn't reopened yet cuz some idiot shot an arrow onto the tennis courts.

I'm not well read into the archery laws (if there are any specific ones) but I do know that if an arrow is nocked (on the string) then it is considered "loaded" so don't run around with a nocked arrow. Similar to having a round in the chamber. No absurd laws about where you can keep and transport bows.

get a crossbow.  the new ones have mini eletric winches so even your daughter can use the bows which have 175lb pull...

just remember, never dryfire a bow weather it be a crossbow or a longbow/compound bow.

I would suggest a compound bow with a large adjustment range that your daughters can grow into. And never dryfire any bow.

Horses could have some serious chemicals in them to build muscle...........not that it's any different than a cow.

Growth hormones are found in lots of foods we eat. But, apparently horses intended for slaughter and human consumption are treated differently and are not allowed to receive certain medications deemed harmful to us along with some other regulatory things. I'm no farmer but I guess it's like cows intended for steak/burgers and milk cows?

I think it has more to do with consumers not getting what they think they're getting, mislabeling issues and such. Honestly, I don't see what's so bad about eating horse meat. It's served as a regular item at French butcher shops and sashimi style in Japan (ref. Food Channel). Supposedly it's very lean and a lot better for you than beef or pork but it has a different taste which may or may not agree with some people.

People might also be bothered by it because horses have achieved a type of pet status in some countries/cultures.

If we're gonna go that way we may as well ask for an optics subsection as well since that's other most common sale item other than pmags and ammo. Selling lots of pmags is only a current thing and it will eventually return to normal, I think fstbckgt got it right with mags and ammo.

$200 Vortex Viper on PWS MK114 5.56

The 22 does fine on paper out to 200 yds, sometimes I feel like a higher magnification would be nice.
The PWS hits that bowling pin that's bouncing around by plates at 400 yds and I really don't see a need for anything more expensive.
