while i don't expect you to tell all about the clans involved, i have one small question to ask-
did the "spee-uh" clan refer to themselves as that before the show?
watching Ep 2 now
speah clan killed a "200 pounder"
but one guy was able to strap in on like a backpack and carry it out
That just goes to show you
The spear clan are not only hunters
But they are also better detectives than Steve magarrett and Dan-O
See, i told you its better than Hawaii 5-0.
You guys just need a positive attitude that's all
Put aside the hateraid
So, I went to Kona this past Friday-Sunday. My friend told me she "...only had $200 to spend on ammo," and i figured, "Holy crap, that's a lot of ammo!" Ammo was purchased on Friday before my 6:30pm arrival, as the shops would be closed on the weekend. Turns out that in Kona, $200 worth of ammo comes out to 50 rounds of steel cased .45ACP, 50 rounds of .38Spl, 60 rounds of steel cased .223, 50 rounds of steel cased 9x19, and a 325 round box of Federal Automatch .22lr ( the one 325 round box of .22lr cost $44, and I believe the box of 9x19 was $24). Dear God, I never thought I'd ever feel bad about bringing guns for friends to shoot, but I felt terrible for having them spend so much for ammo!
I was able to bring 60 rounds of Lake City M855, two bricks of American Eagle .22lr, and a box of some 9x19 so we were able to shoot a little more. I ended up leaving all the leftovers behind (just 30 M855 and a brick and box of .22lr) since I have more access on Oahu and still have a press at home.
I've maybe bought 4 boxes total of various calibers since before the scare, so I'm not used to seeing inflated prices, but geez...The neighbor island guys have it rough!
that's not the kind of mindset we should be having. Maybe if he was an adult, you could say that. But he was 13 years old. Kids at that age don't realize the reality of the situation. They've been sheltered their whole lives and have yet to experience the real world and can't comprehend the fact the police don't know it's a fake rifle. In his mind, he knows it's fake, so he doesn't understand why they're getting all bent out of shape....then he makes the wrong move of pointing the muzzle towards them and paid for it with his life.
This should be a lesson to PARENTS to teach their kids about firearms. When i was growing up my parents didn't teach me much of anything. One of the few things that my dad DID teach me though.....was never point a gun...even a toy gun at anyone. I was taught this from him even though he wasn't a gun guy.
The best way is to chrono your loads to find out what kind of muzzle velocity your load is producing on your gun.
I was using the CBC military brass, SMK 168 HPBT when I loaded the 39 grains varget and was .015 off the lands on a rem 700.
I started off at 41 and worked up to 44.5 grains varget, each jump in grains all came out hot. So much for the manuals being conservative.
Just wanted to pass on info I learned when starting to reload. Wasted lots of powder and bullets doing the load test, but had fun shooting....
I'll pull the rounds that I made and will start at 37-38 and see what happens. I'm .010 of the lands no crimp.
There was a post online somewhere that said the NATO brass was 3% smaller in case volume than regular brass...
I use 39.5 grains and have not had any signs of high pressure. At 40 and above the primers were flat..
Load some at 38 and work your way up by .5, you'll find the sweet spot....
yes free but you have to bring your on clays, ammo, and shotgun. its on the same road as the dump but further down.... And if I believe right it's only open Saturday Sunday and Wednesday( wed is half day or something) it's nicer and has more stations than the one at kokohead in oahu
