Did you see a lot of competitors switching to optics?

most if not all top shooters have switched to optics.  It is the natural progression of technology-FIGHT IT, you will get left behind!! Though, Progression of Technology raises ALL SHIPS; however, skill, perseverance, commitment (name a few) can only be accountable to trigger puller.  Therefore, optics alone will not account for 10,000 hour rule of establishing a good habit.

In other words: all subpar shooters will still be subpar but with higher score!

^ my hats off to the folks that hosted this event. I throughly enjoyed an opportunity to converse with fellow shooters and a great event to start training for Interservice and National matches. Great job to tower caller as those that have been to KoKo, its always interesting working in with regular target plinking crowd with bullesye shooter. Personally, I'm glad they don't closed event for only sericous shooters b/c its the best way to market this type discipline...in front of masses! good job Chinese Gun Club

We will be starting a All Marine Hawaii Shooting Team in May. I am finalizing training plan for them and will consist of weekday/weekend shooting (rifle) in preparation for Interservice Rifle Championships held at Quantico VA July. I will cordially invite current Puuloa Club members and AD military to participate.  Due to face-paced inherit nature of training program, dependents and civilians must have baseline understanding and experience of competitive rifle (High Power) training.

Well, this year's Pacific Division Matches culminated today with the conclusion of awards ceremony aboard MCBH. I like thank all for attending and with only standing room available, it was welcoming sight to see so many show up to support the program. Congratulations to all the winners more importantly to the competitors of other services including from the civilian sector. Regardless of how the overall results panned out, i have no doubt you are expondentially better today in the world of marksmanship than you were two weeks ago. Continue to shoot, continue to refine your skill set and hopefully we'll see you all out here next year!

yesterday, during his lunch break, a random civilian walks into our offices aboard Pu'uloa Range Facilities asking about our upcoming USMC bullseye match. He had very minimal shooting experience, had no working knowledge about this event but stated he had his own equipment but would require weapons and ammo; his hardware shortfalls were mitigated on-site. He only heard about this event through another individual, who provided terminal guidance. I am happy to say he will be joining us come Monday to participate in a program specifically developed for new shooters; taught by top shooters in USMC. we are also fortunate enough to have an Olympian pistol shooter amongst our audience who i'm sure will have very interesting insight to add.

Most people don't wake up one day say to themselves..."mmmm, today i'm going to try bullseye....". If we are ever going to grow this program or any program for that matter, WE (those of us who bought into the program all ready) are going to have garner interest, provide "terminal guidance" on just the basics, just enough to point a potential shooter in the right direction. I think back when i first took a glimpse into the competitive world of marksmanship, i would've never gotten involved if it wasn't for a guy all ready into it. Bottom line, we can all stand back and watch the program slowly erode and eventually become extinct OR we can do our part by simply passing on our experience and guidance to those unsuspecting potential shooters.
