Read my above post abt the 9ths ruling on hold.

Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk

My apologies. I did read that but I am not. very legal jargon savvy. Does "on hold" mean no can do or we can until SCOTUS or other determinations?

A petition was filed to stay the 9ths ruling until SCOTUS decides if they want to hear the case or not.  The petition was granted. So you can CCW again.

This is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!

Donate in the Give Send Go if you can and tell friends to do the same.  Just to give an idea of cost, the paperwork needs to be printed on a special kind of paper when sending to SCOTUS.  This cost alone is about $8,000.  Then it has to be proof read and this can cost between $1500-$3,000.  This doesn't even include any attorney fees involved or other expenses.

This can affect HI for life, so give now or don't grumble later.

So as of todays date we can CCW so long as we have a CPL? Like with all the favorable caveats that apply in our favor?

So I don't need to do a big island ccw anymore if I already passed on Oahu?

I am on Kauai with LTC from KPD. I called HPD firearms direct and they said I can cow on Oahu with my Kauai LTC. However, she said to be certain to have the registration paper for that firearm as they have no record of it in their system. This would be to prove I am registered to the firearm. My LTC is firearm specific so I don't get it but that's what I was told. Not sure how this applies to me going to another out island other than Oahu. I had this conversation only a week ago with them so it should still be current info.

Kauai was smooth. I coulda made it easier had I printed and filled the app out at home; didn't know that was possible. Just about one month maybe a few days less to get LTC approval. Could be that load is lighter here on Kauai maybe.

Can my wife and I hold a ccw license for the same firearm? We are both registered owners to all our firearms.  :shaka:

Thanks for the updates. I wasn't aware. I did know the sensitive places issue and isn't the something along the lines of, if  there is not a sign that says 'allowed' its not. Clever tactic by our legislators; not praising by any means. We are signed up for into to firearms class with Hawaii Tactical in a few weekends.

Legal and Activism / Registration question

Aloha. It's been sometime that I have been on here, my bad. We are trying to get my wife registered to my firearms so that she and I can complete the ccw course and testing. It came to my attention that her intro class is invalid and she will need to take it again. It made me question mine and I too will need to take it again as well. What and when did this all happen? Being out of the loop is not a good plan I'll be checking back here more often to stay up on things. :shaka:

Finally got my car to the shop yesterday. I ended up checking out Mobotech in Kalihi. Wow, Vic over there was awesome. Super helpful with trying to match our schedule's to get an appointment. He sent me photos by text of issues and then called to explain things. They did a full once over for me to make sure what needed to be fixed would be.  Some was stuff that he said could be done later but just wanted me to know. Never even tried to throw in extra stuff to make $$$. Dropped it off on Monday at 1000 and I was called by that same time today because they were all done. This is a great place to get work done on your car if you need. I will use Mobotech again for sure.

Mahaloos for all the tips from guys about mechanics. Coming from off island and not knowing which mechanic to Go to can be...well you know. Aloha :shaka:
