Wow that's crazy. Wouldn't mind trying to build one. I wonder what it shoots though. Probably bbs I would assume.  Someone should try it out, if I had money I would

I checked them out the other day. I didn't get to look around much but they have those food-grade water containers in various sizes. I think I remember reading a post on here about how hard it was to find these on island so just FYI. They also had an electric, solar-powered alternative to generators which seemed impressive but the technical jargon flew right over my head, haha.

General Discussion / Re: Mossberg 500 or Saiga 12?
« on: December 07, 2011, 01:52:40 AM »
But for the price of the Saiga, you're getting a reasonably cheap semi-auto. I don't own a Saiga and never shot one but there's one thing I like about it... for home defense (esp. if you have kids at home) you can leave the Saiga out unloaded and keep loaded mags in safe. This keeps you ready and kids safe. I don't like keeping loaded guns out regardless if I have a lock on it or not because I have three nephews in the house and I only have a small safe.

I have this in my Glock 19 Gen 4 and I like it. Noticeably lighter and crisp trigger pull. You can install this yourself, no problem. There are a lot of tutorials on Youtube that can help you out with this. Also, look up "25 cent trigger job".

Bravo! Good luck.

P.S. Any media coverage on this?

I was hardcore into Call of Duty (Modern Warfare and Black Ops) but I stopped playing since we downgraded our internet service from Roadrunner to DSL (can you say lagfest?) I might just have to bring the 'Box to the office though because Battlefield 3 looks CRAZY. Do I think they help with real life tactics? Probably not. When I'm playing, I'm not really paying attention to that stuff. Mostly busy having fun and cursing out 10 year old kids, haha.

9 mm hollow point Winchester Rangers
12 ga. 00 buckshot Winchester Rangers

9 mm is the only caliber handgun I own at the moment. Carter recommended the Rangers to me. The 00 buckshot was given to me from a friend of mine. They happened to be Rangers as well which I thought was cool. I have matching SD ammo  :P

Off Topic / Re: NBA Finals

Ah, great day indeed  :geekdanc: It's also worth noting that the NBA Finals stat I posted was broken with the Mavs' win. But then again, this was the first time a championship team has gotten swept in the playoffs, lol!

My first time registering a firearm, there was a guy there applying for a CCW permit. I thought "there's no way in hell they are going to approve his app." Little did I know, that guy turned out to be Funtimes, lol.

No love for bullseye or silhouette pistol? Archery?  ;D

I shoot bullseye pistol for practicality but trap is just plain fun. Skeet is too hard for me right now.

Here's how I understand it to be:

You must be at home, work or place of sojurn.
You or someone else must be in danger of death, great physical harm, kidnap or rape.

Gonna go check my answers now.

Firearms and Accessories / Re: Best self defense caliber
« on: June 07, 2011, 11:38:50 PM »
I chose 9 mm because that's the only pistol caliber I can practice with. Probably an awful shot with 40 or 45. Next handgun will be 40 or 45.

Stupid ass kid.  That kid should be put up against the wall and shot in the ass with a pellet gun until his cheeks start bleeding.  Then turned around and shot in the nuts couple times so he can't procreate.

LMAO.

Interesting comment regarding teaching firearm safety in schools. I quickly drew parallels to sex education being taught in elementary school.
