Thanks for the info on the MSP class.  Have watched his videos and I like his humor as well when teaching.  I'd be interested in attending a class if / when another is held in the state.

P50 isn't legal here but R50 is as it has a 16" barrel.  The 50 rd. mags are also legal as they don't fit into a pistol.

General Discussion / Re: New way to aquire permit for firearms

If purchasing a handgun from a dealer using a blank permit, the registration can still be done online.  When picking up my last batch of blank permits I was told that it had to be brought in to register but HPD documentation online made no mention of that, so I asked the dealer to verify with HPD.

Bringing this back to the top.  It was legal, then illegal, and now legal again?

Their website says freight forwarding is required for Hawaii. I haven’t bought from them since 12-21. Is this new?

They ship via UPS

Preparedness and Survival / Satellite phone

Been thinking more and more about getting a couple of satellite phones to have for emergencies and out of country travel.  Has anyone looked into these?  The prepaid option seems to run about $1 / minute and is good world wide.

General Discussion / Re: My first shots at X-Ring's New Indoor Range
« on: September 04, 2016, 02:45:24 AM »
Imo, to many rules meant for n00bs. It's a shame, was highly anticipated... make a couple lanes for experienced shooters. Have them take an assesment test given by ro's, and issue a card allowing them to use the specified lanes. In true xring fashion, Charge 50$ for the assesment. :D unfortunately, its most likely an insurance thing. nice facility though.

What rules do you feel are meant towards "noobs"?

General Discussion / Re: Any interest in the Keltec RDB?
« on: August 24, 2016, 05:53:32 PM »
I think the RDB / RFB are the most ambi friendly designs.  I've had no problems with my RFB or SUB2000 but haven't shot my RDB yet.  Been too busy tinkering with my CZ Scorpion carbine     :D
