Thanks Q! Saved us from the work. I expected the same strategy as the first round of testimonies where they submitted mass copy-paste to manipulate the numbers.

On Time Testimonies
105 in favor (348 in favor if you include the 243 generic generated ones. See below)
1087 opposing

Late Testimonies
6 in favor
112 opposing

1892 pages (granted some people wrote or submitted testimonies that were longer than 1 page.
pages 357-473 were testimonies from 2018 for SB2046.
pages 1289-1477 and 1525-1580 were all written exactly the same, 243 testimonies written exactly word for word, all in favor of SB3196 (kinda reminiscent of ballot harvesting "votes") Feels like someone made phone calls or asked people if they were against assault weapons, and if they said yes, someone filled out a testimony for them.

243 in favor testimonies in a row was written as follows.
"Dear Committee Members,
I'm urging you to protect Hawai'i residents like me from gun violence by voting to prohibit all assault weapons, including high-powered semi-automatic rifles that shoot over ten rounds. They're designed to kill as many people was possible, and there's no reason they should be in our communities. Please prohibit assault weapons.

is there a way to see how many testimonies have been sent in so far like for/oppose, or we just have to wait till that day and then the numbers will be released?

General Discussion / Re: Tacoma or Frontier?
« on: February 09, 2024, 06:05:38 PM »
Buy a used Tacoma 2016-2023. I like the new design of the Toyota Tundra Tacoma Sequoia but I dont like having more electric stuff on board. So I  personally would pass on the 2024. I had a Frontier in the early 2000’s, everyday I drove Id imagine it was a Tacoma lol

Submitted.

Thanks for also including if oppose or against and a generalized what to write about. Have to walk the horse right up to the water. I find my friends are more likely to submit a testimony if you make it as painless and easy as possible.

Didnt know they posted all written testimonies, they redact the email but not your name. Does it matter if you submit a written testimony as anonymous?

I have a hard time understanding the way bills are written but I want to submit a testimony. Can someone please help what main ones we should testify for/against? And what does the strike throughs mean in the bill?

I am sometimes unaware of all the bills that are being introduced (busy with work/family and dont check 2ahawaii) and I have a hard time reading and understanding the propsed bills because of the way its written. What helps me is when…

1. It is posted on 2ahawaii (even posting/advertising on multiple areas on 2ahawaii), FB, instagram, etc.
2. Someone who can break it down/explain so it makes sense what the proposed law/bills. (Layman’s terms) and how it will affect us.
3. A Link to the testimony webpage.
4. What to say/write.. ex “I suppot bill xxx because…” or “i do not support bill xxx because…”.

All gun owners are not equally passionate or knowledgeable about protecting their 2a rights. I believe having this info layed out before them, people will be more inclined to take time and submit testimonies.

I truly appreciate it when the above mentioned is done. Thank you
