General Discussion / SIG Germany
« on: June 07, 2020, 11:27:48 PM »
I just heard that SIG is closing their factory in Germany due to no interest in their firearms from their military, police.....  :closed:   I believe they filed for bankruptcy in Germany (correct me if I'm wrong).  The good news is that the US factory is not affected for now.

Police brutality is equal opportunity; even the old are given no mercy.

When I saw this on tv I noticed the pool of blood getting larger and he dropped what I believe was his phone and he went limp.  Sad...

Political Discussion / Re: The Biden Report
« on: June 06, 2020, 10:03:44 PM »
After all the other Democrat Primary and "Biden said what??"  topics, I thought we could use a new spot for collecting comments pertaining to Joe Biden's Nomination and the fun things he does and says leading up to the debates.

Remember:  Former VP and Senator Joe Biden was up against a field of 26 other Democrats for this nomination.  He's the best of the best -- cream of the crop -- champion among champions.  This is the most capable man the Democrats could find from a field of 27 people to run against an incumbent president with a YUUUUUGE list of accomplishments -- not the least of which is getting his job done amidst constant attacks and distractions on a daily basis.

YUUUUUGE list of accomplishments?  Hmmmmmm yup he sure did a lot of fondling.

I use Slip 2000 EWL on all my firearms, I've wiped down my shotgun with EWL after a rainy day at the range an see no rust anyshere.  Have not used solvents to clean barrels since starting to use EWL and bores are nice and shiny even after sitting in the safe for months.

General Discussion / Re: Flying with firearms (Hawaiian)

It should be ok but best to call Hawaiian to be sure.  On another note I flew Delta and I had 2 guns (one shotgun and one rifle and two boxes of ammo) in one case with no problems.

Legal and Activism / Re: Young v. State of Hawaii
« on: May 01, 2020, 05:10:05 PM »
According to this story from Reuters (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-guns-hawaii/unlikely-pair-could-usher-gun-rights-case-to-u-s-supreme-court-idUSKBN1KT13B), Mr. Young was 68 last August at the time the story was published (that means he was awfully young when in Vietnam).

My suggestion is that the next plaintiff in a carry case, at least in Hawaii and the consequent Ninth Circuit, be a fetus. Have the pregnant woman go in and say that the fetus has told her it wants to have a carry license waiting when it emerges and has given the mother power of attorney to submit an application to be valid from the date of birth. Baby comes out, immediately starts crying because license has been denied, thus making it defenseless against some clown holding it upside down and spanking it. I figure that way, even with all the delay shenanigans at every level we'd have a chance of someone taking the litigation all the way to SCOTUS and getting a decision while the person was still alive and thus the case not mooted by plainiff death. Twins would be even better.

The Dems would probably force the woman to abort ( or terminate after birth-no medical attention) at the last minute to kill the case.

Having more than 5 acres is not a pain.  You don't have to maintain all of it.  I have only 3 acres, but what I did has clear and gravel a large area in front of the house for parking and whatever.  Keep a nice size lawn in the back and just left the rest natural except for cutting ATV trails to check on the rest of the property.  Trails and gravel areas are easily maintained with a 15 gal power sprayer mounted on the back of the ATV and herbicide.

When talking to my brother in-law in WI about his 40 acre wooded property he said that when he thins out the property he calls a logging company and tells them what types of trees to remove or save and he receives a check when it's done (he does not keep any of the logs).

Another interesting video.

Trump was not wrong about disinfectants, there is a hydrogen peroxide therapy for cancer treatment (which some say that President Reagan had for his cancer).  Big Pharma actively tries to debunk peroxide because it's so cheap.  Peroxide is a disinfectant.

I look at it this way, lets compare something that happens like clockwork every year.

Flu
2019 stats USA
35 mill infected
14 mill went to the hospital
400K in ICU
35K deaths
6 month period

So going based on that, why is CV shutting down the US?  And the above happens every year.  CV is new, but still why not see what happens this 1st year and then adjust later.  The economy is just as fragile as people getting sick.

The Dems and the Fake News keep pushing how bad the CV is.  They doctor the numbers (if death was due to say a car accident but they have virus they count it as death by CV) so they can push fear and reinforce their push for"Mail in Voting" because it's easy to manipulate.  Think voter fraud so they can steal the election.  Hawaii is Dem controlled and what do we have "Mail in Voting", no ID to verify who is voting or mailed in ballots are mysteriously delayed or missing.

Off Topic / Re: Mayors orders on "non-medical grade mask"

It's not a law, and they can't force you to wear one, or force you to not use something that is your property.  Don't know what the big deal is about.  If you get cited the judge will have to throw it out, just like the stay at home fines.

I don't remember Ige declaring Martial Law (correct me if I'm wrong) so I'm assuming these fines should be thrown out.  Just my thoughts, I'm not a lawyer, I could be wrong.

I think it's a recommendation to wear masks, because not everyone can wear a mask due to a medical condition.  Are they going to arrest someone because they can't wear one, potential lawsuit.  I've seen stores that have signs that says "It's LAW to wear a mask when entering the store (Longs) it is not a law, they need to pass a bill for it to become a law.  It's a mandate (think dictator, authoritarian....).

I've tossed the idea around of moving to TX with some buddies that live there.  Also UT and MT for other reasons.  But none very seriously since I was taking care of elder family.  Now that those family members have passed, less of an anchor keeping me here.  Right now, it's a good job (at least overall and relatively) and current generation family.

TX is turning blue.  All the CA people fleeing CA to TX are taking their politics which they are fleeing from to TX.

Visited my sister in-law and her husband in Rice Lake WI and fell in love with that place.  40 acre wooded lot for about $100,000.  Bought my Henry 45-70 and a shotgun there.  Just showed my ID (instant back ground) gave my credit card and i was out of the store in 20 minutes.
