Wearing a mask is the assumption that everyone is sick. When was the last time govt has told you and everyone else what to wear in public? Local govt also wanted to ban tents as well. What we have here is a draconian, authoritative govt administration that operates under the thin veil of public safety. They cited postings from unverified social media to support their claims that we are acting reckless as a whole and to justify more mandates. There's no science in these mandates; just broad strokes of general claims by medical personas. At times the Mayor sounds like a school teacher punishing the class for the misbehavior of a few.
THe double standard is that they've been trying to tie Pres Trump to being racist with his perceived inaction to denounce white supremacists but all the while Dems are not openly denouncing groups like Antifa. We need to pull this exact same strategy that Dems are all about anarchy and don't care about the rule of law.
No, they wanted special protections, just like all the other protected classes in the nation.  Being part of that class gives you the right to make big money suing people whether or not they actually discriminated against you.

Now that playing the "Race" card is so popular, everyone else wants their cards added to the deck.

Can I add a railroad card to represent the hardship of my people?
That cake baker won the lawsuit, but only because of the nature of his work.  He makes individualized cakes, which are considered more artwork than just food.  As such, the baker was in essence being asked to invest his time and talents to produce a cake with a design and message he did not support:  Gay Marriage.  He would have sold them a basic wedding cake, but not a cake that's specifically for a Gay wedding.

The fact that the couple drove a long way, opting to not even try to use another baker closer to their home or venue, and then quickly filing a lawsuit indicates that they targeted this baker specifically because they are Christian-owned and operated.

Anyway, he wasn't refusing to bake for them because they were Gay.  It was because of the type of cake they wanted.  He'd have happily sold them something else.

I remember a time when all they wanted was acceptance and tolerance.

From watching the local news and seeing the strange things happening here like stabbings and numerous fatal car crashes, I say that people are already starting to crack psychologically. People are social animals and need interaction. On Saturday, the park by my house was packed with people definitely not social distancing.

I do agree that in order to survive we are going to have to let people be people. Apparently, catching the virus is not the automatic death sentence that some people would have us believe.

I agree. 90% of infected recover. There are only 2 options. Hunker down waiting for a vaccine or resume our lives and accept risk just like how we drive to work, take a run around the block, go swimming in the ocean etc.
the same govt that covers up for "their people" we humbly obey with masks on...symbologic isn't it?
That is the problem right there. Who's version of safety are we talking about? The one where we use our best judgement and accept the consequences, or the one where we surrender our rights to people who think they know what is best for us yet have a horrible track record of being wrong and completely hypocritical?

the majority of people don't agree with your logical, common sense reasoning

I think what would benefit this industry is some form of standard accreditation.
FM 7-8 tactics won't be convincing in a civilian court. I've watched some instructors with courses designed around that and called it self-defense.

in my experience shopping there are some workers that have a good knowledge of the products - some may not. I patronize them for hard-to-find machines screws and the like. I think you may peruse their selection.
I don't know about all the doctors in the video yet but the one on the cover is apparently a bit of a crazy lady. She says alien DNA is in vaccines and that people get sick from sex with witches in their dreams. I wouldn't consider her credible at this point.

How dare they attack a black woman doctor. How do we know what the BBC is saying is true?
