Off Topic / Re: Would Like Your Opinions
« on: Today at 09:01:27 AM »
I have served in our HOA as president and treasurer and it can be trying and challenging. Some issues are mundane and some are very trying. Legal challenges, liability issues, hearing complaints can be challenging. The problem we had in Mililani was lack of owner participation in voting for important issues. The reason why I volunteered was to see how costs were managed and where they came from. The bulk of it was landscaping and management fees. We have 2 management companies. One company to run the daily admin affairs and another to manage the property. I think there  is nepotism and kickbacks going on but there is nothing illegal about that in this kind of business. To uncover that it will take some time and effort.
But anyways, that's my experience.

I'm guessing he sold out big time. I wouldn't be surprised if Bloomberg bought millions of his albums

He was arrested for assault and carrying a gun without a license.

Marshall Mathers, III (aka Eminem) was arrested twice in June 2000 on gun charges in Michigan, and was hit with probationary sentences in both cases, one in Royal Oak, the other in Warren (above you'll find mug shots from both those arrests). The rapper was nabbed by Warren cops for carrying a concealed weapon and assault after fighting with a man he saw kissing his estranged wife Kim outside of a club. He also got popped for brandishing a weapon during a parking lot beef with members of the rival rap outfit Insane Clown Posse.

General Discussion / Re: Glock 21 vs 1911 accuracy
« on: January 15, 2020, 03:12:10 PM »
I decided to stick with my 1911s. Both were accurized and shoot very well. I was tempted to the plastic darkside for a bit. I must've confused the plastic ban to affect Glocks.

Recap: The Salyer 1911 was fitted with an EZ Fit Kart barrel and since I had a Novak rear sight cut I couldn't use a Bomar rear so I used an adj Dawson rear - not my preference. The bushing is not as tight as my other 1911 which is a US Army marked one. Dont know who worked on that as I bought it used. Salyer tightened the frame and slide. He also reworked the trigger to EIC legal limits. He also recut the front sight to a dove tail and made a new front sight blade from a blank. I told him how high I was shooting and he cut a new sight. My go-to EIC load is 5.5 BE beneath 185 Nosler JHPs.

If Hawaii ever gets CCW or if I move to a CCW friendly state I'll get a Glock, CCWing a full size 1911 is cumbersome for a current identifying Asian.
