Yeah, the food saver is becoming a worthless investment on my part as well; nothing stays sealed over long time.

Thanks for the info.  I've been wanting a food saver for awhile now but maybe not.  Always get caught up in those infomercials.

And lastly I have a gun, I'll eat dog and cat if I have too.

Well, the last report from the Humane Society(?) did indicate about 300,000 feral cats in Hawaii.  At least we'll have fresh meat.   ;D

Doing some research about tents and stuff for disasters and ran into this...

Seems like a good alternative to a tent.  The downside is that it's not really for the entire family unless you stack them.

Found this interesting article about Wise Foods.  The research was paid for by Mountain House but it was an independent lab so take it for what it's worth.

http://thesurvivalmom.com/2012/07/12/mountain-house-educates-consumers-on-the-presence-of-high-oxygen-content-in-competitors-products/

I did want to mention that I have Wise products but may need to rethink it a little now.

Some of the things they had... Surefire flashlight (80 lumens) for 10 bucks, Safariland Holsters for 30 bucks, and UTG rifle bags for 20 bucks.

Reloading / Re: Reloading 7.62x39
« on: June 21, 2013, 10:30:03 AM »
Started reloading steel cases out of curiosity with great success.
Using Hornady A-Max 123gr. Cases are berdan. Using cci large rifle primers
And taking out the anvil.

But I using them in an AR

Just curious... how many times can you reuse the steel cases you think?
