My Brass Catcher

This is my new brass catching contraption. This project was more about functionality over anything else. I wanted it to be versatile and do all kind angles and height for different firearms. Came out pretty expensive but at least it's about the same price as the Universal Brass Catcher on Amazon. Note: the items below except the net can be purchased locally at Easy Music and Sports Authority.

This is a special rubber net that holds it's shape. I was a little disappointed that the net doesn't hang more so it could hold more brass. I think the only remedy is a smaller frame. Anyways I bent the frame so it was more round shaped and cut the handle to save weight. One thing I noticed is that this net has large holes and .22lr just barely gets stuck. This actually may be a good thing to screen them out while keeping the larger ammo for reloading. Keep in mind that you could shave off $20-25 off using a cheap net. I just wanted to try out something different.
12" x 16" Promar Promesh Net - $36.94

This is used to angle the net and lock it in place. I already tried using a short gooseneck but it wouldn't hold.
Posi Lock - $9.95

Adjustable Height Desktop Mic Stand - $12.95

I used a zip tie to tighten the rubber clip so it holds the net handle tight but still allow the net to rotate.
Dynamic Rubber Clip - $7.95

You can get this free if you ask around.
5lb Weight Plate - $5.99

Nice! The only thing I would change is a deeper net.
